The table decided to go for their signature dish, chicken and ribs. The group has been a fan of the Baton Rouge ribs for some time and have orders this a while back so we believed this to be a safe bet. Lets see… Ribs: sauce is still delicious though not plentiful and should include a small dipping sauce with the dish. The meat is not as tender and soft as the past melt of the bones quality used to be. The size and portion of the ribs have dramatically been reduced and was a let down. Chicken. Once it used to be a significant sized portion of chicken, it’s now a small thin portion of chicken that would likely cost about $1.50 at a typical grocery store. It’s grilled and then sauced like the ribs. Its texture was not good as it was stringy and overdone. Coleslaw: the recipe has changed and is a big let down. The old version was creamy and filled with more vegetables and herbs. This was dry, small portion, and lacked the lovely seasoning they once delivered. Baked potato: the potato was supposed to come with the fresh sour cream, crisp fresh bacon bits, chives and topped with cheddar cheese. What we received was a room temperature dried out potato with barely any sour cream that had the texture of cream cheese. The cheddar cheese was gratuitous and hard - not cheesy at all. It would appear that the potato’s are pre cooked and then stuffed and placed in a fridge and then microwave heated when ordered. This I can do at home and make better. If a restaurant can’t provide fresh quality food (at these prices) don’t sell me BS, it’s an insult. Salad: for $4.00 extra (instead of a side) their salad was ordered. This was not their usual hearty salad with multiple vegetable. This was predominantly spinach leaves and a little romain and gratuitous little veg added. Now worth ordering again. Notes: all food came room temperature and served at the same time. There was no time to have salad and relax. As all food came at once and within about 5 to 7 minutes from placing the order one would expect it to be hot and fresh - not the case. We had to ask the (amazing) server to send back. We received our order reheated again with another thin layer of sauce but the baked potato still was as horrible as before. The potato was set aside and the server brought a serving of thin-cut fries with a side of ketchup and mayonnaise. The fries were obviously frozen, cooked well and not great but lacking any flavour. Overall I find that there are much better restaurant s to eat at considering the pricing of the average quality products being served. The only real thing going on here are their ribs as there are few restaurants specializing in ribs. After eating a numerous Baton Rouge locations I have concluded that their steak and roast beef are of average quality, too much fat content, and for the price you can get better quality elsewhere. Their burgers are actually very good and even better if eaten at the bar with the bar menu. Their chicken fingers are great, though too much breading and the amount of chicken is actually small. Bottom line; for any Baton Rouge location, stick to the (over priced) ribs and you should be happy. This is a popular establishment in the Quebec and Ontario markets and many people enjoy their offerings as each location can vary its offerings. Going here was not as exciting as it used to be and with so many competitors to eat at I feel BR to be average to below average food quality and freshness etc. you decide but please stay away from their awesomely described baked potatoes as it’s a let down. Also remind your server to make sure food is hot and to serve the salads before the main meal; unless you like it with your meal.

Having been a regular customer at this restaurant for over 10 years (and the Bâton Rouge in Complexe Desjardins next to my office for the same amount of time) I was bitterly dissapointed with the quality of the meal and service presented to myself yesterday at lunch with my wife. The St-Sauveur branch used to have a decent lunch /bar menu that was available at the table. It is no longer possible to view the lunch menu online and when asking for it, told that it exists (but only verbally) and you are given the a la carte dining menu. The waiters were not enthusiastic about my ordering from the (verbally dicatated) bar menu and, upon ordering the hamburger was presented with slop on a burger / bun. After the pandemic I was hoping they would have upped the service and presentation to encourage a lunch crowd to come back (and being part of the MTY group, Mr Stanley Ma should take note) however, the $14 plus tax burger and fries was shocking. Never returning and advising friends and business colleagues to do the same (pictures speak for themselves)

If I could rate this place a 00000 I would. We were a group of 15. The kids (9 of them) all had pasta and chicken tenders, for the most part they were ok. I ordered the Cote de boeuf sandwich and didn't even take a bite, the smell was so disgusting I wouldn't have fed it to my dog, my friend asked for a kids pasta plate but they refused so she asked for the same in a regular portion, well they brought her what they claimed was a regular portion but there was just as little as the kids plate for twice the price, her husband had a steak and in the middle it was raw, they took it back threw it on the grill and served it back to him 🤮 talk about cross contamination. My other friend ordered the salmon which was also raw in the middle and had to be sent back. We ordered birthday cake for two of our friends and he brought 3 pieces when the two birthday guests weren't at the table 🙄, one of the pieces of cake had paper inside.. The whole experience was a disaster from start to finish. Avoid at all costs!!

I have been a Baton Rouge customer for years but was beyond disappointed with a family dinner January 27th to celebrate my dad's birthday. When making the reservation I advised them it was for a birthday and to please bring a piece of cake with candle to the table as they always do. I reminded them about this when we arrived and was told of course! Birthday cake slices were being brought to multiple celebrations around us but sadly never made it to our table. Now for the service...our waiter was lovely and arrived promptly at our table. We ordered 3 sodas with our meal and my husband drank only water. Our sodas arrived with the bill 15 minutes after our meal even with 3 reminders we were waiting for them. Water refills never came. Same for the ketchup for the fries. Came with the bill. We were 4 people but we only received 2 sets of cutlery and napkins. Again, asked a couple of times but to no avail. Seriously? Now the food...Mom had pasta and said it was good as it is her usual go to. Dad's roast beef and my husband's burger were ok. I ordered the french onion soup which had almost zero cheese. I had to hunt around on the bottom of the bowl to find maybe 1 tbsp of cheese. I also ordered the crunchy shrimp appetizer served on asian slaw with sesame seeds. This was the biggest disappointment of all that I have outlined above. Looking absolutely nothing like the picture of this dish in the menu, I received a few tiny breaded shrimp served on plain dry shredded cabbage with no dressing or sauce. What a waste of money. Will...

Horrible food and pretty bad service. I wonder how far do we go to be tolerant and support our local restaurants when the service and food is horrible. Today January 22nd 2021 we ordered 100+ $ food for 5 PM pick up from Baton Rouge at ST Sauveur right after skiing. When we arrived home and opened the bag, we saw that we they missed the calamari which is roughly about 20$. When I called, I was told that they are certain that they have put in the bag which irritated me even more because basically they were telling me indirectly that I am lying. So finally when I stormed out, they agreed to give me a credit for next time or directly on my credit card but I am obliged to drive back there which is 50 minutes drive from home to get my 20$. On top of that when I opened the box of salad, the lettuce were old and rusted. It seemed they have been sitting on the counter for couple of days. Not only most of the options from menue were not available, but what was available had a low quality and dry taste. Funny thing is when I called after accusing me that I am lying, they told me they have been so busy so it’s possible that they made a mistake. When arrived there, it was 5 pm with only two cars at the door so I wonder if they are that busy to serve three customers and they screw up the order, how will they manage between 6 to 7 pm with more demands. Very disappointed on this location food and services, will...
