Columbus Café & Co — Restaurant in Sainte-Thérèse

I do not like leaving negative reviews because I do not want people to get in trouble with their employment, and I do not want the owners to suffer with bad reviews. However, there are issues that needs to be addressed. We visited today, July 15, 2025. We spent over $50 worth of food. Though we have been coming here for the yummy sandwiches, and muffins... your staff out front clearly was not happy to be there, as if we are bothering her. No hello, no smile, no thank you, just utter total boredom and annoyance on her face, wait time was long for her to come out from the back, why bother to work as a customer service if you can not even put on a smile on your face, nor say at least hello, and thank you. These are simple common work etiquette. As a matter of fact, simple people common courtesies. Hire a friendlier person that is more welcoming and approachable out front. Food is good and the ambience is perfect, enough for us to come back and support local businesses. I will disregard the person's bad attitude today, and perhaps she was having a bad day. The next time we visit again, I hope this issue is corrected. Who likes to go to a place where you feel miserable and feel unwelcomed? Please address these issues as we like to keep going to your nice cafe. Otherwise, crowded Tim Hortons is just right across if we want to get food, snacks, and coffee. We love your cafe's ambiance, and we would like to continue supporting you. Just please, train or hire someone who would be happy to be working in a cafe!...

I went to get a coffee on Friday and had a bad experience. The girl working didn’t speak English and didn’t understand what I was ordering. Another customer had to explain it to her. When I finally got my drink, it was the wrong one. She seemed very lost and was working alone. Overall, the service was poor and unorganized.don’t recommend to come to this...

Friendly staff, tasty food, and excellent coffee. I’ve been a fan of this chain since they opened their first locations on the island of Montreal. I’m very happy they have a location closer to my home.
