Giresi's Pizza Factory — Restaurant in Sarnia

I have been a loyal customer of Giresis's since I was a teenager. Let's just go with many years. The only time I have ordered elsewhere was during the time they were closed due to COVID19. Sadly upon their reopening the first time I ordered was a nightmare experience. (This review is entirely reflective of the service I received, not the quality of the food). The main road to my office was closed due to flooding (something I frankly, didn't know-I walk to work and not from that direction) their delivery driver called in a panic, with a pretty bad attitude. I told her how to get here the other way (it isn't that hard) and her response was 'well hopefully I will be able to get there' - again it is not that hard and I would think as someone who delivers food for a living, she would have an idea how to get around town when the GPS takes you down a closed road. It certainly wasn't the first time anyone has ordered from this building, it will be the last from me though. When she arrived she continued to complain (it was a 3 minute detour for her from when she called then called again to say she was here) about how she shouldn't have to deliver here because it was somehow 'unsafe'. It was extremely off putting and while I tried to find a way to reach Giresi's directly, rather than posting a public review, their website is a hosted website and they do not have a contact email. Seems they have facebook, but that is not a platform I use. As I've said I've been ordering from Giresi's for years, but this will be my last order from them, I am a big fan of being a loyal customer when the product is worth it, but this service experience was unreasonable. Maybe she was having a bad day, I am not really sure, even though I tipped her as I always do, I didn't even get a thank you for the business just more complaining. I don't post this to try and get free stuff, I will not and would not take it anyways, as I said, I'm done with this business after this experience. During the pandemic I ordered from Sissio's and discovered they make some pretty decent pizza as well, thus far I have not had an experience that resembles this one with them so I will take my business there...

Been going here over 5 years called last night .. placed a simple order.. They said pick up was an hour ..hour and a half .. I ask the girl could you call me when the order is done so I dont show up too early .. She says yes . Alittle ive two hours still nothing so I call .. the guy who answers seemed to have difficulty finding out orders .. placing my on hold twice I guess to figure out what happened .. He then comes back to say they made my panzerottis Into pizzas that if I wait another twenty minutes or so they will make my order.. I'm like but we already waited two hours his response was they are busy . I'm like you know what we've been long time loyal customers .. we will go somewhere else .. your losing two customers .. He then HUNG UP on me I did this because Not only did they not call me to say they messed my order up .. or call me to let me know it was done .. they said hour to an hour and a half .. it was over two hours... He didnt even apologize .. Could have offered to put on a couple pops or dipping sauce for the inconvenience but didnt even try to save two...

When visiting Sarnia we googled a pizza place with gluten free options. After reading reviews here we decided to try their pizza. My wife had the gluten free option and she said it was the most Italian pizza she has ever had since she lived in Italy a number of years ago. She almost didn't eat the last piece because she didn't want the taste experience to end. Mine had regular crust and, as many others have said, it was a taste experience you just have to experience for yourself. Absolutely fantastic! The store was very clean and the staff were great as well. After ordering, they delivered the pizza to our car where we were waiting. While we sat there we saw a never-ending flow of customers, most buying multiple boxes of food. It was very obvious that the reviews here were totally true...when in Sarnia, if you crave pizza, make sure you give this place the chance to please...
