Absolutely Terrible Service! Ordered through Skip the Dishes, waited 1hr and 15 when it said it would be about 45. Called to inquire about the estimated arrival time. The staff who answered the phone asked for my skip the dishes # and then proceeded to advise that “we didn’t do the order- but we can cook it now and throw in a free mars bar”. When I expressed my dismay- stating I had been waiting 1 hour and 15 and am the one who alerted them to the forgotten order (had I not called they would not have even realized it!) and could they do a little better than “throwing in a mere mars bar” and the staff stated she needed to consult the manager and call me back (which I thought was fair).
About 15 minutes later a lady called me back (I assume she was the manager but she didn’t state who she was) stating she is happy to inform that skip the dishes will refund my order. I asked if they would still be delivering the food considering it was there mistake and that we have now been waiting an hour and a half to eat. The ladies response (in a very curt tone) was “why would I refund your order AND deliver the food). I responded by stating that I think it would be the appropriate compensation for their mistake! I also reminded her that I had to call to inquire about the order or would likely still be sitting waiting for the food. I told her that I understand mistakes happen but it was the first staff member's response (no apology - rather a mere -we didn’t do the order but will throw in a free mars bar- followed by her rude reply - not to mention THEIR mistake that has really angered me. The lady was adamant that’s all they would do. I will be contacting skip the dishes to put in the complaint as well (Big Wings manages their own orders and delivery). Read moreOn May 29, I called Big Wings to Place 1 order of wings for pick up. So when I went to Fairlight Branch to pick up my order, that’s around 8:45 pm , the lady said she doesn’t have my name maybe I ordered at their central ave branch. I said sorry my mistake. I asked if they can cancel my order at central and I will just make a new order The lady called central avenue and confirmed I made the order there. The lady in the till talked to the manager. She said they can’t give me my order and I have to pick It up at central avenue. Really? I went outside and I called central avenue and thanks to the lady that I talked to , she cancelled my order and she understood that I live in the west side and it’s too far if I will pick up my order there. So I went back inside again to tell them that central cancelled my order and I would like to place a new order. The lady on the till talked to her manager again. The “manager” ???? which I guess doesn’t have training dealing with customers and proper customer service refuse to take my order!!!!!! Read moreI was a regular customer of Wing World before the change happened, but unfortunately things seem very different now that it is Big Wings. Out of the last 4 times that I have made an order on a Wednesday, I was charged the full price even though EVERY WEDNESDAY is the wing Wednesday deal and its been that way for ages. I ordered yesterday for pickup and if I hadn't mentioned the price, she was going to charge me full price again. The people in front of me were charged full price as well.
The general management of the place seems to have dropped off as well. When I came in to pick up there were people working in the kitchen but no one at the counter for at least 5 minutes and no one in the back felt the need to tell someone that there were 5 people waiting- even though there was at least one guy clearly in view who was avoiding looking at any of us.
When I attempted to contact regarding being charged full price for a second and third time, my messages went ignored for weeks and I was finally offered a credit with no apology. It seems like they are just charging full price to everyone and hoping that they don't notice. Its very unfortunate and makes me want to tell others to steer clear as well.
I will be looking for another place to get my wings...
