the whole experience! getting the large baby sheep donair for 1 $ more than the small donair is huge value. you have to get the baby sheep! with the tziki and crazy green garlic sauce! ask the owner why this garlic sauce is green and he smiles and tells you it is naturally that way. not sure if his grin is genuine or if he knows the wrath that you will experience in approximately 1.5 - 2 hours after you have taken down the delicious lamb and garlic and sooo good. After the amazing 10 minute experience of devouring the goodness... it happens. the lamb sweats. the cramping. the subtle thoughts of how sweat death could be instead of the dizziness and exhaustion you are feeling! 1.5 hours later you find yourself anxiously seeking the nearest washroom and start praying for it to end. as the garlic sauce has seemingly helped to expel absolutely everything from my stomach through my intestines, who need colon blow when you can hammer down a donair and get this double bang for your buck! usually every few months after recovering I get my crazy desires for the best lamb donair in town... and I go back and do it all over again. ...
Read moreMe and my wife went in and ordered a donair and a poutine to go. On the drive home my wife noice her leg were she was holding the bag was wet. She then lifted the bag to find that the gravy from the poutine was leaking thru the bag and getting all over her. Once we got home and took our food out the bag we came to find out that the poutine was more of a gravy soup with uncooked fries. My wife then went to unwrap the foil her donair was in and found that her donair was thrown together and falling apart and barely had any meat on it. We then tried to call them and complain and ask for either a refund or free replacements. They then argued with us saying the food was cooked and prepared properly. They then went on to say that they can’t refund us or give us free replacements. We have gone to this restaurant for years now and have never had a problem. It appeared that they now have new staff, staff in which who don’t care about the quality of their product or their customers satisfaction. Do not recommend this place anymore this has been the 3 problem we’ve had since the owner/manager no longer physically runs...
Read moreEvery trip I take that will go through Saskatoon, Saskatchewan I make sure to come to this spot! It is not really out of the way when passing through the city and it is an amazing place to eat. The inside is not up to date or anything, but the food is what matters. The rice is always cooked well and the lamb is my favorite because it is done perfectly for my taste. The two that work there have a long beautiful back story and they work extremely hard. I keep telling them to open on in my city (they would own the competition by bringing homemade spices and flavors) and it would be a success. The mix platters are big enough for two very hungry people to share and might have some left over and it is really affordable. Whenever you are in Saskatoon, give this place a...
