Denny's Restaurant Idylwyld Drive — Restaurant in Saskatoon

Will not be going to this location again, absolutely worse experience we have ever had. Unless you want to wait over an hour to get drinks and your food, then I would not recommend this location. We got to the restaurant at 11:45, got seated quick, which was nice. Didn't get our order taken till 15 minutes later. We didn't see our drinks until almost an hour later. The restaurant wasn't busy, there were 4 servers. The server we had, stated there were only 2 of them and 2 cooks on, when in fact there were 4 servers, a host, and a manager on duty, and there were 4 cooks that I saw. When we got our drinks, my daughter smoothy wasn't even blended. It had huge ice chunks in it. She couldn't even drink out of it with a straw. Had to wait another 20 minutes to flag someone down to get my daughters drink remade. Took another 15 minutes to see her new smoothy. We saw people come in after we get their food before us. When we asked why that was, the server said their order was put in before us. I'm sorry but excuse me. We've already waited over an hour to even get our drinks. Why are they getting their food before us??? Untop of that while waiting, we saw multiple people complaining about not receiving their drinks, and they have been waiting for an hour. One table didn't even get their drinks until their food came out. Saw multiple people get up and leave because of the service and the wait. When we got our food, my kids' pancakes were cold and hard, my husband and my food were cold as well, and I could tell it was sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time. Didn't want to send it back as we would have probably had to wait another hour for our food. Our server never came over to check the food or how things were going. My husband and I only had 1 coffee, that's it, no refills, nothing, not even waters. After we were done eating, we had to wait about 15 minutes until our server came over, and that's when I asked to speak with the manager on duty. She let the manager on duty know. We sat there and waited another 20 minutes. She never did come over, so I got up and asked our server. I would like to speak with her, she went and told the manager again. I stood near their station for about 10- 15 minutes before I spoke with the manager. The manager I spoke with, her name was Bailey. She just said they were busy and kept making up excuses for this horrible service. This entire time, we saw the servers doing their job. The manager was no were to be found. The only time we saw her on the floor was bringing out food, that's it. As well the manager wasnt even dressed properly. She was wearing yoga pants, a purple top and mukluks, she looked like a customer. We were there for over 2 hours!!! Thats just waiting on the server with food and drinks and the bill. This location needs more staff, and definitely more training, especially the manager. After this experience we will not be coming back to this...

Exceptional Service from Monika at Denny's

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Denny's, and I must say that the service provided by Monika truly stood out. From the moment I entered the restaurant, her warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a delightful dining experience.

Monika's attentiveness was exceptional throughout the entire meal. She took the time to explain the menu options, provide recommendations, and ensure that my dining preferences were met. Her knowledge of the menu showcased her dedication to customer satisfaction.

Not only did Monika excel in her service, but she also demonstrated efficiency and professionalism. Despite a busy morning, she managed to handle multiple tables with grace and poise, never compromising on the quality of service. It was evident that she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about the well-being of her customers.

One aspect that truly impressed me was Monika's ability to anticipate our needs. She was prompt in refilling drinks, checking on the table, and ensuring that our overall dining experience was enjoyable. Her friendly and approachable nature added a personal touch to the service, making us feel valued as customers.

Overall, Monika's professionalism, friendliness, and dedication to providing exceptional service truly set the standard for what one should expect from a server. She is undoubtedly an asset to the Denny's team, and I highly recommend dining at this location to experience her top-notch...

After a long shift at work & not feeling the best due to a cold, myself & a co-worker decided to go for coffee after our shift. We picked this location as it is not somewhere we have gone for coffee after work before. It was after 11pm & the amazing Liz was our server. Liz was friendly, actually the friendliest server I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Liz was top notch to say the least. She (Liz) greeted us with a big smile & took us to our table, she also gave us the needed time to decide what we wanted to order & not once did we feel pressure to make our decisions. Myself being in a Manager position could only wish there were more people like her in my industry of work & given the chance would grab someone like her in a heart beat. Myself & co-worker had many great laughs with her, this lady deserves recognition for a job well done & for the friendly service she provided to us two ladies. I hope she gets to see this review & my words meant directly for her.

Liz, I want say a huge thank you for your amazing & friendly service, you are beyond wonderful to deal with. You are a true diamond in the rough. You made a stressful evening top notch & I want you to know I can’t say enough good about you. Keep up the amazing job, you rock.
