Three strikes you're out.... We have really been trying to support this pub as we like the newish ownership and what they have done since they took over. Unfortunately, today was the last time myself or family will step foot in there again. Two visit's ago, we were served raw wings. Last time was a disaster. Food was cold, took a long time, cheese not close to melted on the nachos, when they came back they were burnt etc. Today, went in for a lunch. I waited between 40 and 45 minutes after I ordered to get my cold French onion soup which I sent back. It came back about 10 minutes later. Not really hot but edible.... The soup bowl is very small compared to other places in town, the broth was almost thick and dark dark brown (in between an au jus and a gravy), very little cheese. Ate it because I was starving. The potato skin "special" which is more money than their regular potato skins came out barely warm and were basically mashed potatoes in a potato shell. They were not edible or just really not good at all (brought them home to mash, heat up and serve to the kids for dinner). Best thing about the meal was the two packs of crackers served with the soup. For my rating, I gave the service a 3 star. That was only because the waitress was very friendly and did an excellent job being the bartender and only server for a pretty busy place. I would give her a 5 out of 5, and 0 out of 5 for length of time food took to arrive. Food, again, gross. If I could of given a zero, I would of. Atmosphere got a 4, as I do really like the set up, the new TV's, the cliental etc. At the end of the day, there are a handful of local pubs that do a much much better job and will continue to support them. I will be sure to share my experiences with friends and family as again, there are a lot of...
Read moreMy experience at this establishment was so absurd and abysmal that at times I truthfully thought I was getting pranked on a hidden camera TV show. Sadly, this story is true and no one was joking.
When my spouse and I arrived we were warned by the server that the kitchen had a shortage and roughly 50% of the menu was not available. Slightly disappointing but not a big deal, so we both ordered chicken wraps.
The food was brought out quickly and after a few bites, my spouse and I both realized that there was in fact no chicken on either of our âchicken wrapsâ.
Now this is where it gets ludicrous. We politely bring this concern up with our server who says she will talk to the manager.
The server comes back and advises we will be offered 20% off our wraps and given an additional $5.00 off coupon only to be used on a return visit!!!!!!!
If chicken was one of the things you were also short on you could have just told us instead of trying to fake it and hope we wouldnât notice. To make us pay for chicken wraps without chicken is as laughable as it is peculiar.
Port Perry has many great restaurants. This is not one of them, spend your hard earned...
