Although my initial review was good I felt compelled to update my review. The service is awful now. Last night was the final straw. We arrived and sat down. We waited for menus or even an acknowledgement and after 20 min we were about to leave as people who arrived after us were given menus and served drinks and their orders were taken. Just as we were about to leave she showed up and took our orders. The most monotone terrible waitress we have ever seen. After a full hour had passed, she came and said it will be another 40 min for your food. We were so appalled we said no we are leaving. She said okay I will just charge you the drinks. We paid and left. We won't be back for a very long time if at all. The service has gone way down hill in the last several months. We no longer recommend this place as it has been terrible for a while now. Excellent service and a fun atmosphere. You can sit by the waters edge and watch the seaplanes land and take off. Beautiful views every direction. There is plenty of shade on deck so your not burning in the sun either. I had a strawberry margarita. We also had fish and chips and a seafood Cobb salad. Both were huge portions and delicious. But the absolute best....the piece de resistance...was the chowder! Do not miss this opportunity! Didn't get a picture because it was so good we dove right in. 😋

Sechelt boasts many pubs, but Lighthouse Pub shines bright! My recent visit was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I can't wait to return. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Whether you prefer cozy booths or a spot at the lively bar, Lighthouse Pub caters to all moods. The staff is a major plus - friendly, attentive, and always happy to recommend a drink or dish. Speaking of food, their menu goes beyond typical pub fare. I opted for the fish and chips and was impressed by the fresh ingredients and delicious flavor profile. Portions are generous, and there's something for every taste bud, from juicy burgers to lighter options like salads. Of course, no pub experience is complete without a great selection of drinks. Lighthouse Pub hits the mark here too. Their extensive beer list features local favorites alongside classic imports, and their knowledgeable bartenders can help you find the perfect pint. Finally, the price point is perfect for a casual night out with friends. You won't break the bank enjoying good food, drinks, and great company at Lighthouse Pub. In short, Lighthouse Pub is a must-visit for anyone seeking a fun and welcoming pub atmosphere. From the friendly service to the delicious food and drinks, it's a true gem in the Sunshine Coast pub scene.

Had an amazing visit to the Lighthouse Pub last night! First off, i went with the roast beef special two weeks ago, and it was phenomenal. I figured on my second visit, why not try the special again. I was not disappointed. It was a starter chefs salad, followed up by steak and shrimp, all for 30 bucks! The steak was cooked flawelessly. Kudos to the kitchen! The shrimp werent burnt, which is a common pet peeve of mine, when out, and ordering skewered shrimp. My drinks came out quickly, although the bar was packed for the NFL game. I wasnt even considering dessert, but my server assured me, the cheesecake is deadly. Speaking of server, his name was Jordan, and it was no surprise when he made known he worked in the kitchen some nights as well. He sold me on everything, and everything lived up to the description. Definitely headed back this week to the Lighthouse.

After hearing bad reviews from other people but having never experienced this myself, I thought it was a good idea for my husband, myself and our baby to go to lighthouse pub for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon... I was wrong. We were quickly ushered through the busy pub to the “kids section”. We sat ourselves and then watched as a poor lone waitress tended to the entire area (Probably 7-9 occupied tables, including a couple parties greater than 5 people). After a few minutes she rushed over to us apologized for the wait and delivered menus and shot-glass size glasses of ice water. We then sat for 15 minutes watching her run around the “kids section” bussing tables, taking orders, and refilling water. We watched other people have to walk to her and place drink orders and there were several other parties that had arrived prior to us still without food. After 15 mins of watching this poor girl be run off her feet and no other staff in sight, we decided to leave. Out of the “kids section” there were several other staff members and we approached someone who looked to have a bit of a leadership role to question why this girl was working the entire section alone and why service was so poor. The staff member then began arguing with us, telling us that she “has 7-9 of her own tables to worry about and if she can’t handle it, she should be asking for help”. Anyways, safe to say this place is very poorly managed and staffing levels are atrocious. We will never be going back to Lighthouse Pub. Sad to see such a beautiful view go to waste on such a dysfunctional...

The rudest bar/ pub in Canada. Happy hour closed at 5. We had 3 minutes to order. Our waitress told us to order at the bar. Damian, a overly tattooed waitress (with possible signs of pigment toxicity to account for the rudness- just kidding) told us we had to order from our server. We told her happy hour was about to expire and 2 waitresses said to order at the bar, she said she didn't care and refused to give us happy hour prices. I asked to speak with the manager, and she told us she was the supervisor. We left. The menu didn't look so great, so I don't think we missed anything. Not recommended!!!!

See from another reviewer: I never leave reviews as I’m in this industry and I understand sometimes we get busy. However, I went in for a quick drink while I waited for my ride. I was there for at least 20 minutes if not a half hour without seeing a server. I had a host drop off a menu at my table and I tried to order a drink to which I was told my server would be right over. I had two different servers look directly at me and make eye contact. When I was finally approached by a server my phone rang and my ride was there. So disappointed because I was so looking forward to having a quick drink on the patio over looking the beautiful water. My first time ever on the Sunshine Coast and I’m disappointed for this pub owner that his staff clearly isn’t working as a team. Leaving a review so he can hopefully remind them all how important communication is...

Hello, I was just at your place with my girlfriend, as we came to Sechelt for a few days as a trip. Our first day here and we chose your establishment for our first choice to eat. We arrived and there was no podium to let us know to wait for a server, so we sat ourselves as we saw other people doing as well. We waited about 10 minutes before we got up and grabbed a menu off the server table and had to track down a waitress in the area. We asked her who our waitress was and she said she wasn't sure, but if it was her she'll put in the order and if it was another waitress she'll get them to put it in. We got our drinks right away and then we waited 40 minutes with no information from our server and no indication if our food was even coming. We ended up putting some cash on the table for our drinks and just left. This is the worst experience I've ever had at any sort of establishment. I'm not talking just restaurants... any establishment I have ever been to in my life. My girlfriend and I felt both neglected and extremely disappointed. Not only was the server not interested when we flagged her down, but it seemed the same when we waited 40 minutes for nothing to show up. I'm pretty sure she didn't even put in the order and that it was never coming. It doesn't take 40 minutes to make beef dip and a chicken wrap. No matter how busy a business is. I'd honestly rate this experience as a 0/10. You can achieve a rating of 1 by just saying 'Hi'...
