Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Selkirk

I came to the Selkirk Boston pizza with my 75 year old mother to kill some time while waiting for an appointment. We went in for lunch. I ordered pasta and showed the server my 55 plus card for a free beverage. No problem. Then the bill comes. I was charged for the drink. I asked her why and she replied that the manager told her to charge me. I asked for the manager. Wow! This is a manager?? Most aggressive manager ive ever met in my life. Not professional at all. He came to the table aggressively. I asked him why I was charged for my drink. He was clearly agitated by me asking him this, and told me I cannot combine promos. He was loud and abrupt. I tried to explain that his server looked at my card and brought me the drink. How am I suppose to know ordering pasta is a promo. He then abruptly told me to read the cards. He told me this twice to read the card. His tone was rude and condescending. He also said “I don’t need this!!” The lady seated beside me asked, “who’s that?” I replied, “he’s the manager”. She said “he’s the manager??!” I paid my bill, and as I’m walking out he’s still yelling at me. I told him as I was leaving that I’m reporting this. He was yelling at me as I was walking out, saying, Do what you have to do!!!” My mother and I left completely baffled, and scared of what just transpired. Over a 3.00$ drink yet. It’s your restraunt. Went there today for lunch W a work group

(Not my first choice) Very nice waitress Cannot remember her name Ordered the Caesar salad W chicken breast It took a while to get there but it came n was…….. Disappointing

The salad was obviously made from not very fresh romaine lettuce And having had this (large?) Salad in the past it was pretty unimpressive.n small N it was soaked in sauce Very unappetizing

Sort of in a pool on the plate

The $8.99 Chicken breast was dry n hard to cut Felt like the cook had replaced chicken W leather

But it was also bad tasting Sorta spoiled n old tasting

Boston pizza how can u mess up a salad n chicken?

Well lesson learned Selkirk Boston pizza is not a place I could recommend

My table mates were also pretty unimpressed It’s tough to give RESTRAUNTS money When u know the food they are serving is sub par

I’m always surprised by how little care n attention is paid to people’s food from your restraunt Considering the prices etc

Please do better

Follow up I contacted them on their website n had this identical conversation w them

Turns out I was wrong They do use fresh ingredients and it’s all prepared on the day

So my romaine lettuce wasn’t wilted n rusty N my salad wasn’t swimming in dressing

N my chicken wasn’t inedible or overcooked or impenetrable to knives

Or even spoiled

Thanks Boston pizza U really turned me around U don’t serve awful inedible food I’m wrong

Had a great meal and an AMAZING server who was super helpful and took real good care of us. However, the manager was horrible. I was out for a big celebration with my girlfriend and when leaving I wanted to grab a notebook from the toy chest so I could write down some memories from the day! An employee told me that it was okay if I took something from the chest. While looking for a book the manager came over, belittled me and explained that because I didn’t order off the kids menu that I could not take the notebook. She said to me in a rude tone “are you 10?!” when I am visibly an adult. I paid over $80 for my meal and just wanted something to take home as a memory. Seeing as though NOTHING on the kids menu even comes close to $80 I don’t see why I wasn’t able to take the notebook.
