a truly incredible place! it is cafe/bakery - you can buy coffee (and other beverages) sandwiches (there is also a soup of day), pastries, desserts as well as bread, coffee beans and some other products. the staff is super friendly and attentive - all the barista I spoke with spoke both French and English. Sandwiches are so delicious and they can be warmed up. the interior is very charming, with some antique gadgets like phones, a typing machine or a a clock that appear to be from mid 20th century. There are big windows and lots of daylight, which is wonderful. overall the place looks like it used to be an industrial space, but it was turned into a cafe. you can see that some of heavy metal equipment was up cycled into furniture, which is super cool. Read moreI have a love-hate relationship with this bakery. The bread and baguettes are undeniably excellent—probably the best in town. But the service? Absolutely abysmal. What makes it worse is that they're charging nearly double what you'd pay in a grocery store—$4 for a small baguette—so it’s not like they can’t afford to hire more help. At this point, it’s baffling. Why not set up a self-serve station for baguettes with an honor box and spare us the agony of the lineup?
Fantastic product, terrible experience. Fix the service model or risk losing loyal customers who are tired of standing in line for...

Pastries are exquisite so there's always a line in peak hours (at least during the weekend), but most people take things to go, and given the service is quick, it's definitely worth the few waiting minutes. The atmosphere for eating in is nice, and they care about giving you a nice experience. Once we got a cold-ish cappuccino, and they gladly made a new one for us on the spot. I have a lot of respect and appreciation for companies that have that culture of great service. I even randomly met my family doctor at the bakery, buying pastries on an early Saturday morning. I trust this guy with my life, you can trust him with his...
