Had a great meal at West Coast Grill. I ordered the Moa Bowl — hearty portion, well-balanced, and the coriander crema was a really nice touch. My wife had the Red Wine Braised Lamb, which was tender and perfectly cooked. It could’ve used a bit more garlic and salt, but the truffle mashed potatoes and demi-glace were excellent. The garden vegetables were fresh but slightly undercooked. Service was friendly and attentive, the location is unique and the outdoor patio a nice location during the summer. Prices are slightly on the higher end, but the overall quality makes it worth considering for a nice night out.

We had a fantastic experience at West Coast Grill near Van Isle Marina. The restaurant has a classy atmosphere and a beautiful location right on the water, offering a stunning view. I ordered the salmon, and it was beautifully prepared and presented. The fish was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend West Coast Grill for a great dining experience with wonderful food and service.

We stopped into West Coast Grill (formerly Sea Glass) and had a lovely meal with a great view. The menu offers a nice mix of fresh, West Coast–inspired dishes. We tried a hearty bowl, a fresh salad, a flavourful chicken on ciabatta, and the seared ahi tuna burger — which was perfectly cooked and a definite standout. Service was friendly and relaxed, and you can’t beat the location right by the water. A great spot for a casual lunch or dinner after a stroll along the marina.

1 Star – Hard Pass, Chief

Yo, lemme put y’all on real quick: West Coast Grill? That name straight-up cap. Sounds like you about to get some dope, locally sourced, farm-to-table coastal eats, right? Nah fam. This joint is pure tourist bait. Cookie-cutter corporate vibes with the flavor of a wet napkin.

Walked in feelin’ like I accidentally queued into a lobby full of boomers from Facebook who think seasoning is a hate crime. Place was giving off weird ā€œkey party but make it mayonnaiseā€ energy. Lowkey felt like I stumbled into a swinger meetup for retired HOA board members. Yikes.

The food? Mid at best. Straight L. I ordered something that sounded decent on the menu, but what showed up looked like it was plated by someone who lost a bet on Chopped. Flavorless. Dry. Had the mouthfeel of lag. Like, I’ve eaten better reheated gas station burritos while speedrunning Elden Ring on 3 hours of sleep.

And don’t even get me started on the drink menu. No PBR. No Bullmax. No soul. Had me out here drinkin’ some overpriced IPA that tasted like tree bark and gentrification. Who hurt y’all?

Staff was mad rude too. I swear, asked a simple question about substitutions and got hit with full-on ā€œNo soup for you!ā€ energy. Like dang, I ain’t ask for your soul, just if I could swap the fries.

Look, if you tryna waste your time and get finessed by a sad menu and the scent of Axe body spray and desperation, this the spot. But if you got taste, self-respect, or functioning taste buds, run. Hard...

We were excited to try this since it’s a short walk from home but unfortunately we were disappointed. Crispy chicken sandwich.. not crispy. Fries… old? Warm but tough and soggy. Fish and chips batter .. soggy and tough. This made me wonder if everything was fried earlier in the day, sat and then went through the frier a second time. Chef needs to visit Fish on Fifth to taste proper fish and chips. The ambiance was nice, staff was friendly but it seemed like the restaurant was short staffed. We waited quite long to get water and I was served a soup with my meal but had to wait for a server to make eye contact so I could wave them over to get a spoon.

All in all we thought the prices were too steep for the quality of food. I don’t know if I’ll be giving this place a...

First time visit while staying at the nearbye Latch Inn. Apparently has undergone renovations with new owners and it is bright, modern and comfortable. Seating is well space out and basically everyone gets a view of the marina. The menu offered a good selection (and we were told is soon to undergo some further refinements). Portions are good size and so a main with perhaps a shared appetizer will suffice. We enjoyed two fish dishes (salmon and cod) that were very well prepared with well selected sides. And the desert (an in house chocolate mousse) was amazing. The wine selection (and price) was better than usual for a small restaurant. Service was very friendly and helpful. Full marks from us and we look forward to returning when the new menu...
