ML SUSHI TAKE OUT — Restaurant in Sooke

I have lived in sooke for over 12 years now. I somehow never tried ML Takeout until the other day. I ordered their sushi; California, chicken teriyaki, and yam tempura rolls. The prices are wicked, costed me no more than 15 dollars I believe. Their food is made fast and delicious with glorious presentation and user friendly packaging. It’s a family owned company and the customer service was the best I’ve ever received. The person who took my order was super punctual, friendly, and had their young daughter with them who would wave hi as their mom took your order. Overall the short time I spent there was very pleasant and I was super full after eating some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! Definitely coming back and if I could give more than 5 stars I would! I don't know if they were having an off day yesterday, but food was terrible. Makes me skeptical about if the other reviews can be trusted. Got salmon roll, California, vegetable roll, with my friend, and i threw it away it was so bad & I was hungry and never waste food all rolls- rice was mushy and way too wet almost gelatinous -salmon roll- fish didn't taste good -california - the avocado was a tiny sliver to the fake crab meat ratio, like 95% crab to 5% avocado so u could barely taste it was there usually it's like 2/3 crab to 1/3 avocado/cucumber.... -vegetable roll - suppose to be a mix of veggies was 90% raw carrot... Always friendly service from the owners. Sushi is pre-made (if you're in a hurry) or can be ordered from the counter. Along with sushi you can order deep fried yams, prawn and have seaweed and cucumber salads.

Only a couple of tables inside and 1 outside if you wish to stay to eat.

The take out, quick sushi that is pre-made is yummy, however you can tell it's been pre-made for a couple of hours, never as good as freshly made.

If youre in a hurry it's great option with about, on average, 8 types of pre-made sushi.
