Yefsi Restaurant — Restaurant in South Dundas

I am going to unfortunately include some negative feedback. I was with my 81 year old Aunt the night I originally posted the review. I paid interac including a tip and some additional cash for the service . The waitress was busy and left the interac machine at the table , i pulled out the receipt after it cleared (which my bank statement proves.) When I was helping my Aunt out with her walker the waitress ran outside the restaurant looking for the receipt I informed her I left both on the table customer and restaurant She was distraught and I followed her in as I felt I was somewhat being accused if not paying. it turned out the other waitress had already bussed the table and the receipt would have been there. Not my problem really as I had paid and I am not responsible for how they handle their finances or receipt tracking after ( i am sure there is an online download to verify after midnight.) I did not think much of it( Sept 6th after labor day weekend 2022.) My Aunt went in two weeks later and the waitress made her pay her 48 dollars for the meal (which has now been paid for twice ) on top of her meal. Keeping in mind she is 81 on a fixed income. Apparently the owner made the waitress per the restaurant 48 dollars because she could not produce the receipt and this is why she made my aunt pay, but this time accusing my aunt of her nephew not paying and embarrassing her infront of everyone. When my aunt told me I verified in my bank account that the money went through on September 6th and called the restaurant. I got a hold of the waitress and told her the amount and the date that came out and she wanted me to drive all the way I to iroquois to show her my bank statement and her boss. I left my number to have the owner call me back and almost two weeks later ...crickets. Not impressed ...not just because o accusing me of not paying due to poor accounting practice (this isn't the 80's there are electronic records of all interac transmission) but moreso harassing my 81 year old aunt on a walker to pay and forcing her to but no follow up from the owner I retract my original statement...although the food is good it is not worth the accusations and harassment or not trying to remedy a fixable...

I believe the new owner has cut way back on portions. I always got the hamburger steak never left hungry. The last two times hamburger steak was not moist it was small burnt and hard to cut. I left still hungry. Giving the benefit of a doubt. I tried club sandwich with a little gravy on the side. After 3/4 of an hour it finally came out on a regular dinner plate with a soup bowl a gravy a little thing of coleslaw a handful of french fries about 10 or 15. Put a soup bowl on your dinner plate add your four sandwiches wedges and see how much room you have for fry's. Before I got a half a plate not half a potato. Then I got chicken not turkey shredded and cut into small pieces every bite the meat would fall out on the plate. I had to scrape it back up and put it in the sandwich. But the bread was soaked with mayonnaise I left it and eat everything with the fork. Even though the restaurant was full when I went to pay the poor girl had to make change out of her own purse. Even though the food was bad it's not the girl's fault I always leave a 20% tip unless the girls are rude. Coffee is also $3 a cup in a small cup no free refills. It's all elderly customers that have nowhere else to go so they won't be giving a bad review. But I will...

Went there with my family and my wife's family. My wife had called and was told "no" when she asked to make a reservation. When we got there, I stated to the waitress "good thing you don't take reservations" and she said "oh we do" I said "that's funny, when we called earlier we were told you don't take reservations." She said "Oh well we're full" so why didn't they say that?

Anyway, we get there and they split our family up so we're sitting at two seperate tables. Took a half hour for the wait staff to take our order. An hour after our order was taken, we still hadn't seen our food. My father in law and I approached the wait staff and said we were leaving. That were not going to wait forever for food when we have little kids. Shortly before we left, the table next to us had six seats, they seated two people there. A four seater booth behind my mother in law became vacant, and the wait staff put a reserve sign on the table. All this while there was a line up at the door.

Absolutely ridiculous. 1/10, do not recommend. I will not be bringing my family back to...
