A very nice small public beach; an excellent place to take small kids with plenty of clean sand to play in.
There is a small wading area that is walled off by flooding platoons and patrolled by a life guard, and a floating dock for the larger kids to swim to; the entire area has a floating barrier as a safety precaution.
There are a few trees to grab shade in, 3x covered shelters for larger gatherings, and several picnic tables for individual families.
The waterway is a major route for the St. Lawrence, so expect to see a few boats and container ships travel by. This is not detracting from the location, but adds to what the kids get to see...
Read moreI frequently go to this beach, it is a blast every visit. There is a nice blocked in section for people to play/swim in, as well as a larger roped in section. The floating dock that surrounds the seaweed free area is a perfect place to jump in for younger kids. The floating dock further out is perfect for older/more confident swimmers to journey out to and jump off.
Only thing keeping this place from being 5/5 in my opinion, is the lack of care taken on cleaning the floating docks. There is constantly seagull poop all over these docks. I understand it is outdoors, however the occasional cleaning would not be...
Read moreNice clean beach located the bank of the St Lawrence river. It's not a huge beach but quite clean and nice. Also has gender segregated changing rooms and washroom facilities. Also there are a few permanent shades with tables and some tables outside as well. The beach is not huge but has a clearly marked safe area as well as an area suitable for kids or ameteurs.
