I had a potluck lunch organized and wanted to provide brisket as the main dish for the group. After a few rounds of discussions, we decided to try D’arcy’s. I ordered the brisket (~9 lbs) on a Monday and expected to pick it up Friday to deliver to our potluck lunch. I called on Wednesday night just to make sure they received the order and to confirm the location for pick up. Really nice lady attended to the phone and told me everything was set (Avery). On Friday I went early to pick it up and waited until they opened. That container they put it in was smoking hot. Delivered it just barely on time and everyone had nothing but great things to say. I’d only have 2 recommendations to make this experience even better. The order summary on-line doesn’t confirm the pick up time, would be nice if it had that. The emailed receipt had it but the sent text didn’t and the website didn’t. I didn’t opt for the emailed receipt so I didn’t know that until I talked to someone who had ordered from them before. Would also be nice if you could pick up 15 minutes earlier than 11:00 am. Timing was tight and I may have received a speeding ticket to get to my destination. Other than that, it was pretty much picture perfect execution. The brisket was soft and tender with a nice smoke ring and charred exterior. There were no chewy pieces and everyone left nothing on thier plates. Very satisfying. I’d really recommend this outfit and I’m sure a lot of people agree. Great food and excellent service.

My Wife and I were excited to try this place and unfortunately were disappointed. We ordered quite a bit so I will try to be fair as some stuff was better than others. The sides were the most enjoyable part of the meal. Flavoured and you can see there was effort. Garlic fries, street corn. Pit beans. Potato salad. All quite good. Corn bread was a bit dry but no worse than most places. The smoked meat was where the disappointments lie. Jalapeño Cheese Sausage- 3/5. So many different kinda of sausage so its hard to rate. Zero spice but not too cheesey. Wasnt bad. Brisket 2.5/5 Our orders were very different. Hers was very dry and she didnt eat it. I took it home. Mine was very fatty which was a positive for me. I dunno, brisket is hard. I cant do it. It was alright. St. louis Ribs 1/5. She got dry rub and i got saucy. Inedible. I dont know who I pissed off but i got half of one rib and the burnt ends. So dry i couldnt eat a bite. Hers was just dry but she actually got an order of ribs. That picture is my entire portion of ribs as I didnt eat any. This is why places sell burnt ends separately. Dont give these to your customers who order ribs. Smoked Chicken 1/5 Zero flavour. Boring. Dark meat was edible, i ate the drumb stick. The white meat was concrete. Couldnt swallow a bite. Super disappointed. I ordered a 3 meat combo and 2 out of the 3 were inedible. That sucks. Maybe this isnt for them.

I recently decided to sign up for Uber Eats and placed an order with D’Arcy’s Smokehouse. Well I have to say….. disappointment was my only word used! I realize that ordering food for takeout and getting it delivered via a service, you could have mixed reactions but this gave me a feeling of disappointment that makes me not want to go there to eat in. I am glad I took pictures just to show the food once we opened the packages. The food took much longer to get here… the Uber driver somehow ended up driving completely past our place to go to another subdivision before making it here. The food looked like it had been dropped when we opened it up. The presentation was aweful and the amount of fat and grease that the brisket had that it turned my stomach! The smoked chicken looked like it was mangled and thrown into the packaging! The cheese mixture on the fries was not good and the Mac n Cheese was not worth ordering! I also ordered extra fries. Ugg!! Imagine this order was around $28 Never again! Sorry for being so negative but it was not a good experience!!

I work in St. Albert and have wanted to order from here many times on Skip, but when your coworkers vote against the place I choose, I never got the chance to order. I was at the St. Albert Christmas Market at the Enjoy Center this weekend and figured I'll call and place an order and pick it up on my way home.

I ordered the Big Sicily, Bacon Wrapped Popcorn-Dog and Garlic Fries. They use real fire wood to grill their sausgaes, so the flavour was really good.

The Big Sicily, I believe the Italian sausage was locally sourced (not sure where) while the poppy seed roll was from Bon Ton Bakery. I didn't think there was enough sweet onions or grilled peppers and I could barely taste the smoked garlic aioli. The ratio of bread to sausage was about 75% bread and 25% meat. For $11, I was expecting this to have blown me away with quality and flavour.

For the bacon wrapped popcorn-dog, it was wrapped with applewood smoked bacon with cheddar popcorn and Quebec maple syrup. The flavours was really good on this one. This was $9, so I was a but dissapointed that half was only wrapped with bacon.

Garlic fries was hand cut and fried to perfection. I enjoyed how crispy the fries were. Plenty of fresh herbs and garlic throughout the fries and it was drizzled with Bernie sauce. Oh and they give you lots of fries! So for $5.50, this was decently priced.

Overall, the food was good, but I think a little overpriced for a hotdog. If you've ever been to The Dog or It'Dog, they have a way more creative menu and prices are reasonable...
