All the food was awful! Everones fries where burnt to all hell and it was completely obvious that they where reheating already cooked fries. First I ordered the plain burger i not realizing that the meat is stuffed with rosemary and tyme. Being a chef of 15 years Normally that would be great! However the amount of the herbs that was folded into the meat was just overpowering and i wasn't able to eat more then two bites... The kilt are one of the few places left that believe mixed greens is good to have instead of the lettuce you would normally get on a tasty burger, you are wrong! Mixed greens do not stand up to heat well and by the time the patron receives the food it has turned to mush not to mention the diced tomatoes that kept falling out of the burger.... Its a slice for a reason.

In replacement for the burger i ordered the chicken and avocado Panini... Sounds yummy! But you would be dead wrong, although the herds on the chicken are visible this time there was no flavor at all always season your food if you are trying to sell it for $14+, my girlfriend had a wrap that was done longer in the Panini press then the actual Panini. It was gross to... The menu said nothing about the wrap being grilled and instead of getting a nice fresh tasting wrap with fresh veg and chicken, it was a soggy mess.

I will never return to the first place i had my first pound of mussels and this saddens me greatly!

I hope the owner is reading this

You have a blond haired younger looking cook that was not wearing proper kitchen attire not even a hat... And yes i did receive his complementary offering of hair in the burnt fries.

My server was kind enough, however treated me like a fool for telling him about the fries and how very wrong they where.

My father enjoyed his steak and...

We came here on a long weekend on a Monday. Upon arriving, this place was packed and so we were told to simply find an empty place to seat ourselves. They were really understaffed and the servers were not in a good mood. We had ordered an iced tea and a hot water to start. The server (her name is Crosby) came back later with hot water that tasted like coffee in a coffee-stained mug. We asked them to give us another hot water and they gave us another one, but yet again, it tasted like coffee. It took 20 mins between the time we received our drinks before Crosby came back to take our orders. Crosby never came back to ask us how we were doing or what was going on with our food because we waited for over 35 mins when we got up to ask her if the food would soon be ready. She told us without checking with the kitchen that "yah, it's gonna take longer" without giving a reason why. We were so hungry and dissatisfied with this lack of service and attitude that we asked for the bill so that we can go to another place. Crosby then asked if we'd like to take the food to-go once it's ready, we said "of course not!". She clearly didn't get it. And we told them that we didn't want to wait anymore. After hearing that, Crosby gave us more attitude and said "it's not my fault, i don't control the kitchen". We would not recommend anyone to come here - especially on a long weekend. They take wayy too long and they don't provide any customer service - Crosby had a really bad attitude. And fyi to any future patrons, we noticed that the restaurant proudly display the "Trump-Pence Make America Great Again" campaign banner. We ended up going to Oasis Lake Side Pita & Ice Cream. It was...

I felt the need to post the following as a warning to all. For the very first and last time we went to the Kilt & Clover in Port Dalhousie. Dan Deb Murray Donna Coburn and myself ate here becuase I read some reviews on this restaurants and gave it a try. Very wrong move on my part.

First clue out of ice tea, no big deal right.... second when the girl came to take our order, she pointed out that half the items on the menu were not available..... second clue. Deb the smart one just ordered batter mushrooms..... the rest of us got fish and chips as that was supposed to be something they are known for.

OK so the food came..... Deb was first..... first instead of blue cheese dressing the batter mushrooms came with mayonnaise. Really? She picked up one of the mushrooms and it was wet. Yep I said wet..... so she squeezed it.... and yes it dripped grease. She then waited for the girl to return ( I will save you all the colourful words. Deb did call a spade a spade here though).

My fish or lack there of it is below. The white you see is not fish. Rather the uncooked batter on the inside of a batter and chips. Now the chips were hard and as you can see I did not eat them. All the chips were the same on each plate. The grease had obviously not been changed in some time.

I am writing this as if you are ever in the area. Don't make the same mistake as I did and take family to this awful place to eat...

My sister from Toronto is staying with me. We were going for lunch Friday, so we decided to go to The Kilt and Clover. I’ve been here many times, so I knew my sister would love It. It was crazy busy in the restaurants and traffic was nuts because of a regatta that day. The Kilt and Clover was no exception. The many times I’ve been here the food was excellent. We got a seat on the covered patio. I ordered Fajitas with spiced chicken, sautéed peppers & onions in a sizzling skillet. Soft tortillas, sour cream & salsa on the side. Delicious, perfectly done chicken and vegetables, soft warm Fajitas, etc. I had a Vodka Pink Lemonade which was nice. My sister had a plain burger with lettuce, tomato a bun, slaw and fries. She loved the burger and fries the slaw not so much. Our waiter Gavin was amazing, he’s handsome, has the bluest eyes, sweet, charming, very funny, very attentive etc. So much fun!!! Thank you Gavin for making our day. You’re the best!!! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! 💯

I ordered the Lone Egg Sandwich for brunch. The price point was great, so I was really excited. The waitress told us that the business was new to breakfast food, so I can understand the issues they had. However, I still expected a higher quality sandwich. The menu's description is a 'fried egg served on white toast with a side of ketchup.' The plate that arrived for me was a simple egg on white Wonder Bread. No side of ketchup, but instead a side of fries. Based on the description I would have expected an Egg Sandwich on a non-mass-produced slice of bread. Maybe something from a local bakery or a white piece of bread that was fit for a sandwich. I also would not have expected to have pub fries. For the future, I hope that the restaurant is able to invest in some more hearty bread for this sandwich and create a more appropriate breakfast/brunch side. Maybe even some greens on the side or some fruit.

We made an unplanned stop today. We've been before and sat on the patio. This time we sat inside because it was a tad too cold for me. I had never been inside - it was surprisingly small in there. However, cozy. The food was delicious and the prices are reasonable. The service is warm and friendly. It's really hopping during patio weather. It's a perfect patio a short walk to the beach. It's a little town gem and a fun place to go for lunch, dinner or just for drinks. They have happy hour too. I think it starts at 3:00. We take our motorcycle there in the summer. It's a nice destination and a fun pit stop on a ride. Enjoy this little gem 😁
