This was the first time I had been here. In fact it has been yrs since I have been at a Boston pizza. Due to the prices. There was no one at the reception desk when we walked in. We waited 5 minutes before someone to came to seat us. We where the only ones at the desk. The place was only about 10% full. Yet the service staff kept looking at us. The young lady who finally seated us. Was not all that friendly. It seemed like she was thinking why are you here and I want to be somewhere else. The young man who brought our food was awesome. He should have been our server from the start. The decor is a bit too dark. As for the food some good. Some not so good. My doughter ordered an apatiser. Of catus fries. As she said they are great. Well the fries where good if you could find any on the plate. I know inflation is high. But to pay $12.00+. And need a magnifying glasses to find them is nuts I can buy 20 pounds of potatoes for that price. In fact I can buy a 50 pound bag at the whole sale for $25.00. Talk about gouging. The dipping sauce tasted just like sour cream only. There was some green stuff in it looked like onion? It was horrible. As for the pizza's. I ordered An all meat pizza with extra cheese and sauce. Could not find the cheese or sauce. Also there was about 2 inches of crust all around the pizza that did not have anything on it at all. My doughter ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni. Again same problem as mine. As for tast not bad. Would have been great if we had got what we ordered. And not had to waste so much of the crust. On account of it was bare of product. In retro spect we should have gone to Roccos pizza Where we where going to go in the first place. I will not be going back to Boston...
Read moreI am a huge Boston Pizza fan and eat at various locations pretty regularly. Visited the Steinbach location yesterday and had a mixed experience. The burger was actually really good. Fresh bun that was sturdy enough to handle the burger and bacon, but was not dense or heavy. The burger itself was tasty and cooked perfectly.
I was there during the mid afternoon and it was not busy, which is to be expected on a weekday - but makes my next comment more understandable. The fries were cold while the burger was fresh and hot. Easy solution right? Just let the waitress know and she will bring fresh fries.
Problem is, once she brought my meal, I did not see her again until I managed to flag her down to ask for my bill. I would have appreciated her asking me how my food was, as is typical in most restaurants. Kinda felt ignored. Minor thing I know, but these days we all pay a considerable amount of money for restaurant food.
Too bad, as this was a really easy fix. Not sure I will return.
Update:
The manager reached out to us and we had a very positive conversation. Sam is awesome!
I returned to Boston and the food and service was outstanding! Had a great experience. Carsyn, our server was personable and efficient.

Read moreBPs is a favourite of our kids and we have enjoyed the pizza and wraps in the past. But recent changes will discourage us from eating here as often. 1) the renovations have opened up the space which has created a louder atmosphere. The plexiglass shields from the covid era unexpectedly created a cozier, quieter, space. Now they are gone AND the booths are lower than before, allowing sound to travel unimpeded. 2) the Sweet'n'Savory pizza did not have sriracha in the sauce. When asked, the server implored the kitchen staff only to find they didn't know sriracha should be in the sauce, despite it being in the description in the menu. The server asked if I wanted "hot sauce" on the side but the way that it was asked made it feel that this would be a very unusual request...which brings me to... 3) the prices are climbing. But it would appear the employees are not benefitting from this price increase. The general atmosphere from the employees was that we were being a bother for being their guests. The bored and lackadaisical attitude that was being presented made us feel uneasy and generally unwelcome. Listen, I get it that working at BPs is not the pinnacle of life. But this was a very strange sensation at a restaurant that...
