Colonel Kebabz & Bar — Restaurant in Surrey

Glad to have found this place since there aren’t many good options near me. The staff is kind and professional and the food is some of the best i’ve had in a while. Only place i’ll order from now. The veggie pakora isn’t salty, which I find to always be a problem elsewhere.

2025 Edit: the communication when placing our order over the phone tonight wasn’t great. We ordered a regular butter chicken but somehow the lady heard “butter chicken rice bowl”. Which comes with Jeera rice which we arent too keen about. We called back and she recognized her mistake and said they will send what we ordered, I asked if we should pack the butter chicken rice bowl for the to take and she said “do you want to keep it?” I said okay sure, although we don't eat the rice. After she hung up quickly and I called back because I thought the call had dropped but she said she just had to call the manager and ask a few things. No problem. Fast forward the manager brings the correct order back and says it’s “two dollars off”. But we were under the impression that they would send the replacement based on the misheard error… He said thats fine that he would take the rice bowl back and switch it which I initially thought they would do until the girl asked if we wanted to just keep it.. but we ate the chicken from it.. he was really cool about it anyway and said don’t worry just keep it. I feel bad because we weren’t supposed to eat it but we thought we could. Anyway, we might have to switch to door dash delivery just to make it easier for everyone involved. Today I had the pleasure of dining at Colonel Kebabz, a delightful Indian restaurant known for its flavourful tandoori dishes and biryanis. From the welcoming atmosphere to the attentive service, this restaurant exceeded my expectations and left me eagerly anticipating my next visit.

We ordered the Tandoori Chicken and the Chicken Biryani, and both were simply to die for. Every bite was a celebration of rich flavours and textures.

Beyond the food, the service also stood out. The owner, Dhanl, has created a lively yet warm environment where guests feel well taken care of. Dhanl checked on us numerous times throughout the meal, and his smile and attentiveness never wavered. It's clear the staff loves what they do.

For the quality of food and graciousness in service, Colonel Kebabz offers tremendous value. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the food quality. I walked away feeling satisfied and happy to have discovered this gem of a restaurant.

Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or looking to try something new, I highly recommend paying Colonel Kebabz and its friendly owner Dhanl a visit. I know I'll be back soon to sample more...

A friend and I went in person to order takeout, the order process was interrupted by a large phone order and 3 delivery orders being picked up. We were told our orders would be ready in 15 minutes, after waiting 40 minutes we asked if our orders would be ready shortly, as a large party that was seated after we ordered was starting to receive their food. The employee at the desk told us it would be ready in just 5 more minutes, which turned into 25 minutes. Now after waiting for more than an hour, we received our food and departed. Upon opening our meals we discovered we did not get what we ordered and the food was nearly inedible, my Lamb Vindaloo was a curdled nightmare, a massive amount of oil covered the dish and it was the saltiest food I've ever eaten. A scant 4 pieces of lamb was all the protein in the dish and there was no sign of potato or onion.
