Wendy's — Restaurant in Temiskaming Shores

Food was as expected, service was tolerable at best. Initially, the front cashier was not paying attention and needed to be poked to respond. Next I ordered 2 meals, two burgers and some meat on the side for my dog. When receiving the order I had told them that I wanted it to go to which the cashier denied me almost instantly to say that I actually said for here, not one to argue I basically just brushed it off and said it’s all good. next, because my girlfriend and I both ordered the same exact stuff (she replied that I want the exact same thing as him) we received everything but another burger which was not an issue they ran me through for the burger but again he denied us saying we were the ones that messed up on the order. Again I shrugged it off and said it was okay and got out. Other issues was essentially looking in the back to see a good chunk of workers picking food without any gloves and eating them in-front of product, which I believe to most people is quite unsettling knowing you are about to eat food that a stranger has been eating over. Have been coming here for a decade now from basketball tournaments and I’m left with disappointment that Wendy’s has gone that downhill. I don’t usually leave reviews but I love Wendy’s and hope something can be done about this.

It was 2 pm on Sunday, on Oct 19th. I was recovering from surgery so we went through the drive thru. It was the longest wait ever. The girl who took our order was friendly and knew what she was doing. She was taking and gathering the drive thru orders on her own, by the look of it. There were 3 vehicles in front of us in line waiting for their orders. The guy who took payment was distracted and disinterested. Making it take longer than necessary. Once we got past him, the line moved quicker. We got to the take out window finally. She had to pause to take another order. Then she got our food, which was fresh and hot. She was still super friendly and a joy to interact with. My order was correct. My coke was correct. No ice. My fries were great. Salted, hot and freshly pulled from the frier. My spicy chicken burger was fresh and hot. It had way too much sauce. But whatever. It was good. Not squished flat. Put together in a rush. I can appreciate that. There are no complaints about the food this time. Just the time it took to get it. It was around twenty some minutes in line waiting in total. From the time we drove into the drive thru...

My wife decided to try this Wendys Location rather than the McDonalds just down the road and what a difference ! First of all I found it much easier to move around the restaurant with my Rollader because the tables are spaced far enough apart that not once did I have to manhandle the Rollader in order to get to a table or chair. Additionally, the staff is very friendly and checking everyone to make sure that there are no issues with their food or service. The staff also works very hard to ensure that every table is cleared of food debris and wiped down after the customer(s) who used the table, leave the restaurant. I also found the washrooms well laid out for someone who needs a handicap accessible bathroom. Last but not least, the food was fresh and well prepared. We will come back here the next time that we drive Highway 11 south through...
