I enrolled my child in the Ice Palace can skate program from another can skate program because the one I prefer (Crestwood) was booked up. So I decided to try somewhere else as I figured the Can Skate program would be the same as anywhere else. It's not actually the case. I noticed the scheduling is a bit strange and you have to move around a bit. There were way more kids on the ice and my kid didn't get alot of attention and he is struggling with skating but still wants to keep at it, at least with the old place. The coaches don't seem as engaged and the head coach is rude at times. (She rolled her eyes at me once for just asking a question). I dunno, I would go somewhere else. You don't get a full hour of ice time and the kids dont get stickers. I know it's a small thing but my kid loved getting a sticker each week and he seems much less engaged and excited about skating and isn't improving. I will try and return to Crestwood in the future. If you go here just lower your expectations a bit. Or look at one on...

To be honest, registering your child in this Can Skate program is a waste of both time and money. The club is very disorganized and lacks a proper plan for coaching kids.
During one of the sessions, my child injured her chin and started bleeding. Instead of administering first aid, the staff were searching for me to show me what had happened and asked me to take my child to the hospital emergency. I was shocked! Do they have any first aid certification? Do they know how to handle such situations? They should not leave a bleeding child while looking for a parent. I had to ask for a band-aid and applied it myself. When I asked why they didn't follow first aid procedures, they said they were not allowed to touch a child's wound.
As I mentioned, their teaching style is not recommended for any child. It's a waste of money,...

My daughter went from crawling and shuffling on the ice (held up by coaches) to skating backwards, jumping with two feet, and a real glide skate in 2 canskate sessions (fall and winter term). We did do the 2 times a week which helped but it was amazing progress. They have really fun seasonal theme skates she looked forward to going to. A great place to...
