Looks can be decieving as from the outside this restaurant had zero curbside appeal and when we walked in the entrance it looked like a dive bar however this was the ugly duckling of experiences as the service from Helena was exceptional. She answered all of our menu questions, offered suggestions, and was incredibly attentive. Our food was delicious, high quality and tasted as if it had come from a high end restaurant. We had an array of dishes from beef teriyaki to hanakatsuonami. The portions were huge, the prices reasonable, and the presentation was phenomenal. The teriyaki beef and teriyaki chicken were brought out on cast iron skillter with wooden trivets. The food was perfect, not greasy or oily, and had remarkable flavour depths. Everything was so tasty and there were some unique spins on things such as the seaweed salad had masago (flying fish eggs) on top and was mixed with lettuce (which I wasn't a fan of the lettuce and would have preferred more seaweed instead). We loved the so much about this place, especially that it is family run. My kids loved the "Boxer" punch machine too, what a...
Read moreThis is a hidden GEM in Three Hills! This location near the local bar has gone through a number of different restaurants but this one is a KEEPER! I was not expecting TOP grade sushi in small town Alberta but that’s what I got. This is my 2nd visit in less than 2 weeks and I’ll definitely be back. Prices are the same as everywhere these days but each time I’ve been offered an appetizer on the house. The first time I had the bi bim bap which was served in a hot stone bowl. The crispy rice on the bottom was to die for! I wanted just a little more sauce but otherwise perfection! We enjoyed free spring rolls and shared the deep fried California roll. I was skeptical about it until I tried it. Absolutely divine! This time I chose the baked mandalay roll which had beautiful fresh scallops on top and a delectable sauce. I was given 3 prawn tampura on the house. The tampura was light and the prawns done to perfection! My appetizer of choice was the pork gyoza which honestly was the best I’ve ever eaten. If you are anywhere near Three Hills and enjoy Japanese and Korean food don’t hesitate to stop....
Read moreI was sceptical to try at first since I'm not a super Fan of Korean cuisine, but I took my fiance and a friend here for dinner and was very impressed. If you're not sure what to get I highly recommend the bibimbap (in a hot stone bowl). Food came to us sizzling hot and stayed that way until I had finished! It was super delicious especially with the spicy sauce they provided with my dish. You can tell it's a sauce they make themselves and not something store-bought. My fiance had some sushi and it was very sizable and tasted very good. After we started eating they brought us some complimentary fried gyoza dumplings and they were fantastic, almost better than our main dish! Highly recommend. Service was great and restaurant is nicely renovated. Please pay a visit and support...
