TL;DR Authentic Chileno. Quick service. Cash/no tax. CC & Debit accepted. Great flavours. Horrible Parking
I have been coming to this location for years and their quality is consistently good Chilean food.
Empanadas are a good size at a slightly premium price but worth it if you like beef empanadas. The churrasco is my all time favourite with great fries cooked to a nice crisp and salted just right. The bread they use is authentic Chilean bread made fresh every morning. There is a hot sauce that you can ask for but I believe the ingredients changed throughout the years so it is not as good anymore.
They also have churros, filled or not filled with dulce de leche, which are pretty good. They also have various authentic Chilean pastries.
Interact and credit card methods of payment require a purchase of over 10$ I believe or they charge you an extra fee. Churrasco combo has tax now if paying with cc, less fee if debt & no fee with cash. Flat 12.50$
The parking will definitely be an issue, especially on a weekend. It shares parking with with dozens of businesses and you may need to park on the street or at a business in the area.
You may have a hard time finding the location, as it is tucked way in the far back left corner of the plaza. You will also walk by a great deal of restaurants with strong smells (great smell but lingering none the less)
Ultimately, I would highly recommend this location but even beyond that, I would recommend anyone who would like to try Hispanic food from South, Central and the Islands, to visit the plaza and try a bit...
Read moreMy mother is a regular at this place, but she had a really bad experience with customer service today, I believe it was the Peruvian cuisine. She ordered a meal and it was all basically uncooked. The fish was raw inside and unsalted when she asked for it to be fried, the plantain was also raw and. All in all she didn't want to cause any trouble and decided to just eat the cooked parts, so she got up and asked one of the servers for a small plate but the man ignored her, so she asked again and the man answered her so rudely and inappropriately! Baffled by the response she told the man he had poor service and she left without even touching her food. Unfortunately she did not get her money back. Never had she had such experience and I hope no one has to go through that either because I'm sure they wouldn't just walk away the way my mother did. Please teach the servers PROPER...
Read moreThis Chilean bakery has been very consistent for about 30 years! So definitely, they have passed the test of time, literally. Here you will find Chilean bred, dishes, sandwiches, deserts, and a small stock of Chilean supplies. Even though some of their "star" products is the authentic Empanadas and sandwiches, they have innovated and explored some variations, to capture some consumers looking for more veggie alternatives, like Italian and Portuguese styles. I tried the new "spinach/ light cheese" empanada; I fell in love it! Some other choices tend to be little heavy in the onions, which again, it's my personal choice. Some other people love onions... keep up the great job you guys have been doing...
