La Costeñita Colombian Restaurant — Restaurant in Toronto

Placed an order for pick up on October 4th, 2024. We ordered two dishes. One was a mixed plate, offering: grilled chicken, beef, sausages, blood sausages and new potatoes.

To our total disappointment, the food was unappetizingly salty and oily. My wife's daughter's were unable to eat any of it.

The beef looked tender, but was actually tough and veiny. The new potatoes were not roasted, they were deep fried...

My recommendation to this restaurant would be to use sirloin, rather than cheap cuts of meat, which will just end up inedible.

This unfortunately is the trend lately with a large majority of restaurants; they offer low quality food, slathered in salt, at a very expensive price point.

The food was delicious. It was the best Colombian restaurant I’ve tried in Toronto. I ordered Carne Asada, and it was really well done. The salad was fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed it.

The service was okay. They constantly forgot stuff, which wasn’t great and could be improved. Also, we received what we ordered first at last, which wasn’t as good as we expected. They were kind, but I think the service can improve, and they can be more attentive to the client.

The order was a little slow, so we spent a long time in the place, but I also valued that everything was hot and fresh and that you didn’t feel you needed to run or that they were rushing you. This is fantastic because you can just go and have a nice time.

Very bad customer service We came to buy to take out food, paid more than a $100 and we have to wait for the food to be ready the waitress said we can wait seated so we took a seat and all of the sudden the waiters came and asked us to leave outside because we can not wait inside and be seated while waiting so my husband asked that if somebody else came and buy food have to wait outside as well? and she just looked at him and said nothing.
