"All right, let's get real - this restaurant is absolutely delicious! We stumbled onto Crystal Thani after a scheduling mishap during the Christmas holidays when we needed dinner for my wife, daughter, and me. When we walked inside, the environment was welcoming and the staff was exactly the level of warm that you expect in a respectable establishment.

We ordered appetizers and tried several dishes. In my humble opinion, you can't go wrong with any of their fried rice dishes. Being my absolute go-to culinary joy, I tried both the pineapple fried rice and the cashew nut stir-fried rice. Let me tell you, this was exactly what the doctor ordered! Even though we started with chicken skewers, I had plenty of room for the fried rice dishes. Both the pineapple fried rice and cashew nut stir-fried rice were exceptional.

I wanted to write this review because not only am I going back tonight, but I also want to shed a warm and supportive light on local restaurants and businesses that are doing their best to create delicious value. I'm so appreciative of Crystal Thani, and if you're ever in the College West region, stop by! Whether it's for lunch break, dinner time, or even breakfast - go for it!

I'm about to wrap this review up and head out for dinner with my wonderful family AT THIS Restaurant lol. I wish all of you peace, light, and delicious yumminess any chance you get - and that's exactly what you'll find at Crystal Thani...

The service was friendly and prompt. Had the crispy beef (it comes with rice). The taste was flavourful and slightly spicier than crispy beef at other places. The portion was good for the price!

The edit: I went back and tried some other dishes. Here are the ratings for them.

Chicken Panang Curry: A solid 4! Such a creamy and smooth taste. It's perfect for a chilly day

Coconut Mango Chicken: A surprising solid 3.8. It had no sourness, just the right kind of sweetness! It tasted even better with the rice

Beef Crystal Fried Rice: A 2.5. It was forgettable. I've had better fried rice

Hot sour soup: A 2 / meh. Then again, I only ate this because it came with the special of the day. I would never order it otherwise

Vegetable Pad Thai: It was a 1.5. The portions were amazing, but the taste just didn't cut it. The taste was plain sour and had neither the required sweetness nor piquancy. The carrots were not cooked at all and the other vegetables barely so. I was extremely disappointed by this dish

Beef Devil: A solid 3.5. I recommend this dish if you like General Tso's chicken

Khao Soi noodles: A 3.5! Very greasy and creamy curry taste. It tasted even better...

It was Friday night and we did an order online through the website for delivery. We probably should have called a bit sooner, but we called after an hour because the website said it would be an hour for the order. We called about an hour and a half later wondering where the food was. It turns out there was a mix up and they thought it was for pick up so the food had been sitting there a while already.

I was about to ask about possibly cancelling the order then when the individual on the phone who I assume is an owner or manager, asked what free dish we would like so as to apologize for the confusion. We ordered a regular Pad Thai, and he promised that we would have our delivery in 15 minutes.

Almost to the dot we got our food 15 minutes later.

I loved the noodle and curry dishes we bought and I was floored at the way the manager took over the situation before my question about cancelling ever left my mouth.

That was my first time ordering from there and I enjoyed the food and the Customer Service was great. My boyfriend has ordered there before and has plans to keep ordering when hankering for Thai Food.
