Here's a review of Alexandra Park:

Alexandra Park is a fantastic community hub offering a variety of activities and a refreshing break from the city’s hustle and bustle. Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood, the park provides ample green space, making it perfect for families, joggers, and anyone looking for a place to relax outdoors. The wide-open lawns are ideal for picnics, and the playground area is a hit with kids, offering safe and fun play equipment.

One of the best features of Alexandra Park is its sports facilities. The basketball courts, tennis courts, and soccer fields are well-maintained, attracting both casual players and those looking for more competitive games. It’s not uncommon to see pick-up games happening throughout the day, which adds to the lively community vibe.

The park also has a charming, natural appeal, with plenty of trees providing shade on hot days and beautiful walking paths for a leisurely stroll. During the summer, the splash pad becomes a major attraction for families with young children, and it’s a great spot to cool off.

On the downside, during peak times, the park can get quite crowded, making it harder to find a quiet spot. Additionally, some of the facilities, like restrooms, could use better upkeep.

Overall, Alexandra Park is a wonderful local gem that caters to a wide range of interests and is perfect for a day out with...

A once beautiful and vibrant park accessible by everyone in the community has been completely overrun by homeless encampments, needles, rampant drug trafficking and usage, off leash dogs and unsavoury individuals. The encampments are filled with stolen items such as bicycles and propane tanks. I have fond memories of playing frisbee and catch, but it would be impossible now. Having been nearly mugged on my way home from work, I would suggest that non-locals avoid it completely after dark. I hope that one day my children will be able to visit and use the park but as for now, we avoid...

Nice park.... But... Too many tents during covid... Park is not useable....

The park has:. Two playgrounds, a splash pad, outdoor pool fifty meter in summer, skateboard park, in winter has two skating areas: hockey and free skate... Even has outdoor curling... No skate rental though... There's a baseball diamond.... Next door there is a school with a good wall for handball and basketball hoops and some nets for mini soccer and mini...

we came here to skate at night. the main rink that's fenced in closes and is locked at 10pm, the lights on the area outside of it turn off around 11:30pm. usually during the daytime heres lockers available and according to signs around the area, the city tries to wet and pave the ice 4 times weather permitting. not bad! washrooms are also right next to the rink as well.

I grew up in the area. Played lacrosse and went swimming and hung out at the skating Court community centre nearby. It’s also right next-door to Ryerson public school that I attended 30 years ago. Glad to see the area becoming a little bit more yuppie and upscale. I hope they don’t forget about the all-time people living here there

Nice park with a splash pad, playground and pool. However, when we visited it didn’t feel family friendly. Albeit, the tents were gone, there were homeless people, hazardous garbage etc. Also bigger part of the park is closed for the renovation. Hopefully, it will be back to normal soon.
