Eggsmart — Restaurant in Toronto

First time back since the menu changed and will likely be our last time. It seems the menu you give people to read does not give good price details very clear for one thing. We got waited on by Karthika which for some reason was in a rush for us to give our order and did not want us to look at the menu before we order. When we did receive our food which was 2 Classic Breakfasts both was to have 3 scrambled eggs in both one looked like it only had 2 eggs on the plate as it was much smaller than the other one. I asked for soft bacon not to be cooked to hard and when it came it was not soft at all. Also on the menus it says that Fruit is to come with the meals in the past at this location it didn't give no fruit so it did not shock me again a new menu saying you would get fruit with the meal bit when the food came again no Fruit no where to be seen.so why is Eggsmart allowed to put stuff on a menu that customer's don't get? Also why when i got my coffee why was it only a little over half full of coffee and was not offered no refills while I was eating? My wife had tea and would of liked more hot water but for some reason was never offered that at anytime water is free so you can't ask if you would like more water for your tea? Only time Karthika even said something about would I like more coffee was when she knew we were done and after asking i still didn't get any. We had some food left to come home with us and wanted a container to put it in and she had to be told 2 times that it was to go home before she was ready to take it away and dump it it in the garbage like what is wrong when you get told it's to go why would you still try and take it away?? All I can say this Eggsmart is not getting better it's gotten worse with lies on the menu and service just don't listen. Why say you serve bottomless Coffee yet you don't ask to a person is done and then if you do say you would like more you change the subject to let me take your plate when you don't even ask if we want to take that home. If i could i would give you 0 stars for this place it sure is not like other Eggsmarts I been at very poor service. I will not recommend this place at all even the ketchup had a bad taste to it that was on the table. I will be going to Sunset Grill up the street where you get much better service and much better...

I went here a couple of times and I enjoyed it - however for my recent visit the bill was outrageous. The server tried to upsell us at every point and it was extremely annoying.

We asked for mayonnaise and she asked us if we wanted 2 and we said only 1. On our bill there was a 50c charge for it. In addition, we got charged $3.60 for 1 piece of bacon and $3.60 for 1 breakfast sausage. The menu said it came with 4 pieces each and 3 eggs but there were surcharges everywhere and that is not ethical. She told us it only came with 3 during payment - they didn't disclose the surcharge prices and this type of business practice is wrong.

Do not go here because you'll be hustled and the menu doesn't match what you are paying - they will charge you at every point and push things on you and will never tell you how much it costs.

Once again why would I pay an extra $3.60 for 1 piece when I can get another whole meal with 3 pieces (with the eggs, potatoes, fruit) for $5.99 - they are a scam! She said the $6.99 was just for eggs and no meat even though the menu said 4 pieces of bacon/sausage. The bill said $5.99 for eggs and bacon/sausage does that even make sense that without the meat it's $1 more? She's not even good at...

This was the worst breakfast experience I may have had and I expected a higher level from Eggsmart franchises. The cook is the problem here.I ordered a scrambled bowl but got omelette style instead. I asked for it to be scrambled from scratch as it was a scramble bowl which is more $$ than a classic breakfast. After getting the eggs back , it was clear that they just mashed the eggs that were sent back.The taste was stale.I felt like I was eating refried eggs.I asked for them to be redone as it was completely inedible.I paid for swiss cheese ,onions and bell peppers mixed in but instead I received a slice of swiss slapped on my eggs. The taste was less stale and the presentation was better (eggs were less brown than previous time) but it was still bad.Their coffee is bad and I will never return to that location...actually I think I'm done with Eggsmart.
