A great study cafe! Walked in here about 3pm on a Friday and it was pretty quiet, once in a while there would be a rush, but there are always seats available, alongside free wifi and some charging ports!! I got a matcha, it was good quality! I do wish the pumps of syrup wasn’t 75 cents extra, but I guess prices are rising these days? I also do wish they had more food options, not like restaurants meals but maybe more sandwich options and such. I think that’s why I took a star away, just because consumption wise it’s a step down from other places. Their atmosphere and staff were top notch though- they were also working on their coffee beans too so it smells really nice! :) There was this dude playing a podcast/radio out loud, and I do wish one of the staff stepped in to ask him to quiet down, but I had headphones so it could’ve been worse. I’ll definitely be back here to study, thank you for having me!

I had a wonderful coffee experience this afternoon with Milkyas, who enthusiastically demonstrated his roasting process and answered my many questions. The quality of the coffee beans, coupled with his experience and passion in what he does, shines through to the end result in the cup.  The coffee was roasted/prepared for me using the unique steeped & organic cotton filter method, and it had this wonderful lingering effect that allowed me to appreciate the amazing flavours hours later. I took a bag of the Harrar beans home, and while I wasn't able to recreate Milkyas's magic, it was the best cup of home coffee I've ever made/had. I look forward to exploring the many Mofer coffee offerings, visiting & working from the beautiful space as well as partaking in coffee cupping sessions in future!

Drink Quality: 4.5/5 (16oz iced caramel latte) Drink Selection: 4.5/5 Pastry Quality: N/A Pastry Selection: 2/5 Price: 3.6/5 ($6.77 for a 16oz iced caramel latte, tax included) Ambiance: 4.7/5 Service: 3.9/5 Cleanliness: 2.2/5 Location: 3.8/5 The drink was very tasty and well-made. The café itself is spacious, with a distinctive and thoughtful African-inspired aesthetic that's reflected in the music, furniture, and décor. Prices are not displayed on the menu board, which is inconvenient. The washroom was not very clean, and the toilet initially wouldn't flush until it was manually fixed by a staff member. Additionally, accessing the washroom requires asking the barista to press a button behind the counter to unlock the door - an awkward and inconvenient process.

Deplorable customer service. I have been in upper management of restaurants for over 15 years and I was just treated terribly over the phone.

Due to my time in the industry I can chalk most things up to bad days or just things out of my or someone else's control but this was disgusting.

Was sent an Iced Latte over Uber Eats when I ordered a Hot Caramel Latte. All latte pictures are of hot coffee on UberEats. I've ordered from the Wellington location multiple times and have always been sent a hot coffee if ordering a latte.

Called to rectify and was told they sent the order and there is nothing they can do. They told me to come in and exchange the coffee as if I didn't UberEats to avoid the travel. The first woman on the phone told me they got the order and usually send it that way. I asked if I should always specify hot if the picture is hot or cold online she replied "I don't see any pictures. I have no idea what your talking about". If they were unsure of hot or iced they should have contacted the orderer. There are no options on UberEats for an Iced Caramel Latte. I did not order from the Iced options on UberEats so I'm just confused why it was sent this way to begin with.

The first woman told me to come in later or tomorrow to speak to a manager (Ruth), she hung up on me after I asked for her name to speak to the Manager about the situation. Called back and a second woman said she could not give me the name of the staff member because they were "so busy". Interesting since she had all the time to tell me I had to take it or leave it for my coffee but no time to say her name.

Conveniently, now I've been told by the second woman can only speak to a manager tomorrow morning this does nothing for my current coffee situation.

The lack of solutions is wild to me. As someone that has worked with UberEats deliver systems for years I tried to explain that I would like a credit and just to reorder. No solutions were given. They also told me "You do not listen" whilst I was explaining that I would just like a credit to my account. For people that cannot find solutions sounds like they are the ones that are...

I work close by and had a couple bad experiences. Aesthetically it's beautiful inside. I was disappointment with the taste of the Americano I had. The second time I got a cold brew and while it was better I was again disappointed by the taste, but that's not necessarily their fault I guess. I was told by a few people to give it another shot they had great teas, sandwiches and salads. I returned to have a sandwich and was mortified they put the sandwich in the microwave with the packaged plastic wrap. I'd then gotten a few of their various prepackaged salads which were good. The last salad I got I took it to work and the dressing was missing which was annoying I couldn't go back. But accidents happen so not the biggest deal. I went back to have their tumeric ginger tea and the man at the register went to grab the tea bag out of the canister with his fingers and I asked him why he did as he's also handling the cash register. He was defensive told me he sanitizes all day and also handles food with his bare hands so what's the issue, so I walked out. I also was thrown off by the woman behind the cash sweeping without a mask.

  • went back for a sandwich recently (was super hungry lol) and very pleased to see there wasn't a microwave, instead they used an oven toaster to heat it up. Really...

I’ll be honest, I really do want to like this place as I think it’s a wonderful atmosphere and is in a convenient location for me to access. Unfortunately in the few time I’ve gone there is generally a 50/50 shot of my order being wrong. I don’t fight it most of the time because the staff is already clearly frustrated with me for trying to correct the order before they charge me and start making the drink.

Most of the time I order a small Decafe Americano, and I have walked away with Iced coffees, 16 oz double shot lattes and other drinks that are generally more expensive than what I’ve tried to order. So in the end most of the time I end up spending more money on a drink I most of the time end up throwing out as soon as I leave because it hurts my stomach.

I confirm with the staff every time that they have decafe, I really have no idea why they never serve it to me. Luckily they have never given me dairy milk. They do always give me my requested Oat milk in whatever concoction they decide to make...
