Avoid if you know and developed a taste for real Indian food. I ordered these dishes ,paneer, chicken , roti plain and garlic and pulav. I am not exaggerating it was a rip off version of Indian food. Not a single dish tasted good. The pakoda was like a dough flattened and fried, no flavor or anything to say its a pakoda. The paneer was full of cheap red color , the look of the dish itself made me off. The taste was aweful, no seasoning , I do not know what was it. The chicken curry had potatoes , that is okay ,however there was no flavor. It tasted so bland , never knew a chicken curry can be made this way and I would not want to know. The biggest turn off was Roti. It was thin, large and texture like a roomali roti made with refined flour. Its nowhere like a standard roti what we call in India specially in North part of India. Interestingly there was a garlic roti too, which I could not make out which one is the garlic roti since all looked the same. We happened to eat a few bites ,could not force us more. Feeling bad for throwing this much food but there is no choice. My observation says this is not an Indian restaurant except for the name ,the kind of recipe they have is something else but Indian. If you have never tried Indian food then also you should avoid this restaurant as you would make a sense about the Indian food which is not correct. I travel alot and I have seen verities of Indian food across the continents and I expect some sort of difference in the making of the food depending upon the resources available in the area. Toronto -Canada has all the resources to make a decent Indian dish if not authentic , so I can not give any advantage to this restaurant. I...
Read moreAfter craving home made Biriani for so long, I googled the best Biriani in downtown & I saw this place. Order took 1 hour to arrive. Or Al packaging but can be better. The rice was not pishori rice or basmati rice, it was short rice. It was half cooked, when eating was sticking to my teeth! I ordered chicken Biriani with extra potato ( extra pay) & Raita. The chicken was cut in tiny cubes & scantly. The potato was in small cubes too. The quantity was alright for a single pax, only ate a quarter of it & stopped. The Raita ( paid at extra $4)was even more disappointing, it is just plain running yogurt with no toppings inside at all. Money & time wasted & won’t be ordering again from here. I don’t care about quantity but quality, it was just a lot of blab, no Biriani flavour, no aroma, no taste it was just like eating plain brown uncooked sticky rice. Had to wash it down with pop after to take away the taste. Spent $27 total...
Read moreOrdered from here last night on UberEats as UberEats mentioned this was a top spot in the region - the only reason I ordered.
Honestly, never ordered worst food in my life. The blandest Indian food I’ve ever had. We ordered a Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, Pakras, and Garlic Roti. The butter chicken and chicken korma were the same colour and tasted the exact same. The taste wasn’t butter chicken or korma. Have legit no clue what type of curry we got, but bland. Instead of serving with a side of rice, they serve it on rice (aka to skimp).
The garlic roti was just a plain roti that was ice cold. So they just up charged us.
The pakoras were mostly flour. Hence they made them cheaply and they were DRY. They were also ice cold so we had to heat them up. Pakras are supposed to be whole vegetables… not whatever that was.
Please go somewhere else. Legit...
