Pattie World Bakery is a bakery and wholesaler that is located in a commercial complex. Although they mostly deal in mass orders, they also sell single patties and other Caribbean dishes to the public. The retail front is very small and it’s takeout only. Expect to wait for your patties or dishes especially if they are out of their hot patties. We ordered single patties for the following: Beef, Chicken, Shrimp, Jerk Chicken, Beef and Cheese and Ackee with Saltfish. The beef patties are really solid. They are definitely on my top 5 in the GTA for sure. The crust is flaky which I enjoyed but I wished it had more filling inside. The meat was nicely seasoned with the right amount of gravy. It definitely had a kick which is essential. The other pattie that I enjoyed was the Ackee with Saltfish. Something that I didn’t expect. The disappointing ones were the Shrimp and the Beef and Cheese. I couldn’t taste the shrimp and there was no cheese on the Beef and Cheese (unless they gave me the wrong pattie). Not all patties work but the staples like Beef and Chicken are exceptional including the Ackee. During my visit, I had conversations with repeat customers that swear that this is the best pattie place in the GTA. When I told them that another Pattie shop was my current number one, they brought the owner out and the owner proceeded to give me one beef pattie on the house, to try it. I went with the beef one and I wasn’t disappointed. You have to appreciate their commitment and belief on their patties. BTW, for full disclosure, I was just given that one pattie as I pay for the rest. Parking maybe an issue during the weekdays when the other commercial stores are open. I’ll definitely will be back for the Beef and the Ackee!

Delicious Jamacain food! My bf and I initially wanted their $4.97 fry chicken meal with a chicken pattie but unfortunately they ran out of both... So we had to settle for their jerk chicken meal with a beef pattie, which wasn't a big deal, especially after enjoying the food. Their beef patties are filled with a good portion of meat; also spreaded evenly near the edges. The jerk chicken was flavorfully seasoned but their rice and peas is super spicy! - so watch out for that - portions were ok. This is a really tiny take-out restaurant, with four or five chairs to sit while waiting (no dining tables). Location is in a industrial area with limited parking spaces and no wheelchair accessibility. Service was slow, took a bit for our order to come out... Their preferred method of payment is cash but they also have a debit machine which charges a $0.25 fee... service is not the best, especially with one particular lady the many other reviewers complain about! Lots of attitude and no respect for customers - she would be on her phone while taking orders... she definitely does not value customer. Despite of that, we're still likely to come back to try their other foods.

Not sure what has happened recently. I have been coming here ever so rarely since it's not the most convenient or accessible location for me. I always buy multiple boxes of patties to make the trip worthwhile. Recently, purchased 3 boxes of beef patties and noticed that they are not the same as before. [I've included a picture. Compare them to the older photos in other reviews for reference.] They are of a different shape, flavour and texture. The price for a dozen has remained relatively low. These patties used to be of similar style and flavour as some of the best patties in the GTA (i.e. Randy's and Allan's). Now they are the similar to generic or less tasteful patties like Fahmee (Allwyn's, Bathurst/Warden TTC) and Michidean and Patty King. Case in point: thicker, harder crust, with bland filling (maybe more bread crumbs were added to the filling to keep cost low). What happened? Did they change ownership or maybe have gone downmarket? If I want generic frozen patties from a grocery store, I think I will just go buy Patty King (or whatever other frozen Jamaican patties are available).

Came in on time today. There 1 customer in the store at this time. Placed my order and waited. 5 minutes into my wait I was asked to pay for my order of 6 ackee and salt fish and 6 calaloo. Waited 15 minutes no food. Another customer entered the establishment 15 minutes into my wait and placed the exact order for patties. The same server returned 5 minutes later to inform the customer that the calalooo parties were not ready and they will be ready in 20 minutes....at this time I informed her that I have been waiting for 20 minutes now and did not provide me with the same customer service as this customer even though I have been waiting for over 20 minutes. I requested that the now unavailable calaloo be cold and the ackee be warm. The server left and remained in the back for 10 minutes while you can clearly hear the staff arguing amongst themselves while new customer waited to be served. The customer who came in 15 after me with the same order was able to pickup his order after waiting 30 minutes. My total wait time was 50 minutes from order to service. They took 4 attempts to provide me with my order and each time was incorrect, how difficult was 6 Ackee patties hot and 6 Calaloo hot?😫🤔 At the end of a 50 minutes wait for an order that was paid for the final server insisted I pay for my order again...😡🤔 NEVER AGAIN WILL I BE DPENDING MY MONEY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. The staff is argumentative, poor attitude and disorganized. If the owner want to save his business he should consider hiring...
