Nice baked samosas. Chicken, beef and veggie. Huge difference eating a baked samosa vs deep fried. Nice and dry vs swimming in toxic canola oil. Paper bag stays dry vs soaked in oil within minutes for deep fried ones. Nice on the stomach and skin. Health food instead of deep fried unhealthy food. All three flavors were excellent and well filled. $2.25 each or $1.99 when you buy 5 or more. Well worth saving my stomach from unhealthy canola oil. I went late Saturday, so there were only one of each flavor left. Nice lady upsold me on what she called apple buns $3 - they were more like scones. They were still a little warm. A lot more than avg amount of apples in them and seemed like a lot less sugar than a standard scone - a healthier scone. Normally, I need to have a drink when I eat scones, but the abundance of apples made it go down easy. Location is in an industrial plaza.. good 500m from Warden. Highly recommended. Don't come close to closing or you may miss out. They will close early if they are sold out. Look forward to coming back to see what other baked...
Read moreVisited Puff Samosa in February 2021 for the first time. The spicy beef samosas are a slunk dunk on awesome for taste and texture. For me they rank right up there with Jamaican patties, Vietnamese banh mi and Trinidadian doubles (Roti Hut) for take out snacking, back when they were all inexpensive. And these samosas still only cost $1.50 each at regular price!!! Super nice and friendly lady who clearly takes a lot of pride in what she has built and offers. I look forward to trying some of their other items like Palov. The shop is tiny inside and is allowing only two people in at a time with covid in effect. The building where Puff Samosa is located has their own free parking. Worth the drive to find them. Enjoy!
Update March 2022: Inflation has caught up with Puff Samosa and the regular prices of the samosas are...
Read moreI love the samosas here with kind and friendly service too! The samosas are flavourful and baked, with a beautiful array of seasonings. I've tried the beef, chicken, veggie and spinach and cheese. All are delightful and filling - my kids always ask for more!
Today, I tried the marinated paprika half-chicken and rice for the first time. It came with a side of green chimichurri dipping sauce and made dinner a mouthwateringly delicious occasion!
The baked items are also super fresh and yummy, made to perfection. I've tried the apple strudel and tea biscuits and look forward to ordering more. The coffee and cappuccino is top-notch and a real treat. A true Scarborough gem, I hope the business continues to be successful!
See you...
