I wanted this place to be great since it’s around the corner and I love falafel and shawarma’s, but it’s not. I ate there when they opened and it was lacklustre but I chalked that up to opening issues. I just went in, ordered $40 worth of shawarma, falafel and sides. Part of the $40 was an 18% tip. Then I saw the very friendly and hospitable gentleman behind the counter start preparing previous orders. Horrible. He literally took a handful of rice of a slow cooker off the the side and then a small handful of beef out of an aluminum take out container on the side table. Why is he not cutting fresh meat off the rotating skewer? Why is he not putting it on the flattop with onions like Ali Babbas and countless other places do? Fresh! Nope. The falafel was good at best the first time I went, the shawarma was below average. However, like I said, I let it go since they just opened at the time. But tonight? Nope. I will not be going back, which is a shame. Sadly, unless they make major changes, they won’t...
Read moreThe food was disappointing. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma Wrap and a Chicken Shawarma plate both had more veggies than chicken. After eating we were not satisfied. UPDATE The owner and I had a conversation about the quality of service and food I received when I came here for lunch on Saturday and I will say that the owner wanted to make it right and apologized on behalf of his staff. I can respect that instead of taking offense to a bad review he wants to make sure it doesn't happen again and takes pride in his business and making sure customers have a...

This is a 3 star place to me now. Still one of the more value oriented places in the area but honestly I'd rather just go to Squirly's.
Original: This is the type of place you go to before your friend has their birthday at a nearby bar and you wanna eat something before that but the two pho places are busy and you don't want to pay a fortune. It's relatively fast, it doesn't taste bad, service is friendly and efficient (it's fast food after all), and you have the economic means to afford it. Perfectly fine for sopping up those...
