I recently had the pleasure of dining at Umami House, and I must say it was a delightful experience. This casual sushi restaurant offers a unique twist with its delicious baked seafood pasta, which is a refreshing departure from the typical sushi fare. It's great to see a sushi restaurant that ventures beyond the expected and adds variety to its menu. The highlight of the meal for my family was the salmon and salmon avocado hand rolls. They were expertly prepared, and the flavors were simply outstanding. My daughter and son couldn't get enough of them, and it's always a joy to see them thoroughly enjoy their food. What sets Umami House apart is the wide range of options available on their menu. In addition to sushi, they offer bubble tea, grilled dishes, baked pasta, and rice options. This makes it a perfect destination for groups with diverse tastes, as there is something to satisfy everyone's cravings. Whether you're in the mood for a light snack or a hearty meal, Umami House has you covered. I must also mention the watermelon juice, which was a pleasant surprise. It was incredibly refreshing, and the natural sweetness of the watermelon was perfectly balanced. It made for a delightful accompaniment to our meal and added an extra touch of summer to the dining experience. The ambiance of Umami House was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a casual dining experience with family and friends. The service was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our needs were met throughout our visit. Overall, I highly recommend Umami House to anyone looking for a casual sushi restaurant with a little something extra. Their baked seafood pasta is a must-try, and the salmon and salmon avocado hand rolls are sure to please. With a diverse menu offering a variety of options and delicious drinks like the watermelon juice, Umami House is a gem worth visiting.

I’ve ordered takeout from Umami House several times now and have consistently been impressed. Their menu selection is fantastic — lots of variety and unique options, much more elaborate than your average sushi spot. The fish is always fresh, and the portion sizes are fair for the price. This time, I ordered the Chirashi Don (rice topped with an assortment of raw fish), which I’ve had at least twice before and it was just as delicious as I remembered — fresh, well-balanced, and satisfying. My mom ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box, which she’s also enjoyed here in the past. Unfortunately, this time the chicken was mostly skin and fat — barely any actual meat — and it ended up being pretty inedible, which was disappointing. She’s not one to complain, so I only realized something was wrong when I noticed she wasn’t touching her chicken. Luckily, the bento box also comes with California rolls, miso soup, and salad, so she still had something to enjoy for dinner. Based on this experience, I’d probably skip the Teriyaki Chicken in the future. One thing I absolutely love about Umami House is their takeout presentation — hands down the best I’ve seen anywhere. The containers feel like they’re made from thin wood (not the usual plastic or foam), and they always include a little flower with the sushi for presentation. It’s such a thoughtful and classy touch that sets them apart. Overall, still a great spot for fresh sushi and creative Japanese dishes — just be mindful of the Teriyaki Chicken. I’ll definitely continue ordering from here!
