Our Sweet Quatro of a group decided a trip to Barrhead to visit my partner's previous home and acreage spaces. What an excellent use of our time. This bustling little town stands proud and honest, providing us semi-tourists to enjoy quiet meals and tasty local baked goods from the Barrhead Bakery. Our hour long journey away from Edmonton was spent enjoying time together, exploring and viewing these spaces, where his family's homes had stood proud in the past. I loved an emotional day of retribution, identity, history and belonging. Together, we shared 'Oreo Balls', tufts of chocolate cake and cheesecake packed&mixed into a chocolate covered timbit (dont sue me, Tim Who Shall Not Be Named).
Visit this sweet and tasty place. Customer service made us feel welcome and accounted for. We most certainly will be back to Barrhead- if not only for the chance to embrace that sweet oreo deliciousness...
