Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Bonnyville

After many takeout attempts I cannot help but be disappointed. This time around they forgot the pizza bread that comes with the spinach dip, and we had to drive back there with no compensation. (Apparently they called and it's my fault when it's their job to make sure all the food is in the order). When ordering Caesar salads, all I get with it are croutons and that's IF they remember the dressing. When getting what is supposed to be a meal with a side order of carrots, cucumber AND celery, they never add the celery and usually forget the ranch, which it comes with. I have ordered the spaghetti and they've forgotten the bolognese sauce on multiple occasions. My partner ordered the wings combo deal and they left out the Caesar salad entirely. On another occasion we ordered the full rack of ribs, paid for the full rack and recieved a half rack. All in all, as much as I love the food, the service is terrible.

UPDATE: tried takeout again today (January 18th 2025) and utterly disappointed once again. Ordered the wing combo with the garden salad and extra pickles on the side. When I got the order, the pickles were IN the salad. What is that? They also failed to add the Italian dressing the salad is supposed to come with, as I have received times before. I decided to try the new Chili Lime dry rub and it was literally just their Cajun seasoning. Once again disappointed and probably won't be...

The food got the star.

Started out having to flag a hostess. Chose the bar section. Every booth was dirty. 13 tables and 4 booths.. we prefer booths as we don't like to swing our legs. Had to wait for a table to ble cleaned. After cleaned, we were helped with fishbowl of crown / diet and a double long Island iced tea. Another reasonable wait and our food order was taken. We ordered deep fried pickles and shrimp to start, with the spicy perogy pizza entree.

We waited for 25 minutes then all our food showed up. There are 2 of us. We could not possibly eat all that while still warm. Very disappointed.

When manager came to the table, we pointed these things out. Haley B, the manager, when she came by, was stopped by us to ask why we were looking at all this at once and I was more than due for a refill, Asked us, if we specifically asked for our starters first. First words. Argued immediately. Kept saying and even more firm "did you ask your server to specifically send your appetizers first?!" ....yes and no. We said we would like to start with the pickles and the Cajun. Shrimp... but appetizer is... the style of dish... it's the ... appetizer. Appetite teaser. ... I didn't realize I had to bring a shovel to break new ground.

The place is empty.

Stopped in after the Cold Lake airshow. When we arrived it wasn't busy but filled up shortly after. I went to the washroom while my husband and grandson ordered drinks for three people. I was seated at the table when the drinks arrived and we were asked if we were ready to order or if we needed a few more minutes. We asked for a few minutes. We watched as other tables were seated, drinks ordered, drinks delivered and food served. After waiting over 25 minutes for our waitress my husband finally went to the back asking what it would take for some service. Our waitress arrived some time later and apologized stating that she thought we were waiting for someone else to arrive. I have no idea where that came from but had she stopped by to check the table she would have found out we were ready to order and our drinks were empty. I can appreciate that the restaurant filled up but when we arrived it was almost empty. Watching ALL the tables around us get seated, and fed and leave was disappointing. I think sensing that there would not be a very good tip she delivered our food with nary a word and there was no offer of drink refills. It doesn't matter how good the food is when the service is bad the meal is bad. We have gone to many Boston Pizza restaurants and have never had such a terrible experience. I would give this...
