Best Western Bonnyville Inn & Suites — Hotel in Town of Bonnyville

The hotel rooms do need some updating/TLC. Cons: we rented a whirlpool jet tub suit and 4 of the 12 jets did not work. The jet tubs are on the small side, my husband and I are "above average height for a couple (5'10“ & 6’) and it was shallow/cramped. The showers tub spout leaked, not just a little... roughly 1/2 the water was wasted down the drain. We purposely stayed at the hotel as there is an EV charging station for guests. Unfortunately, it was not working for my Tesla and another guest who tired. The power box showed everything was in order and "charging". The front desk staff checked it out and insisted it was working, on the contrary my App indicated no Power was being sent to the vehicle. We were able to use a 110v outlet to charge over night instead. In the end it worked out. Pros: The staff were very courteous and the hot breakfast and other selection available for breakfast was great. The rooms and hotel in general were very clean. After staying at a different hotel our first night in Bonnyville we had a horrible experience and needed to find somewhere else to stay. Christmas Day I called the Best Western and immediately knew that this place was going to be a million times better thanks to the fantastic customer service I received over the phone from Matthew. He helped me with being set up on the rewards program and getting me a great deal. We checked in that evening and the hotel was so clean and the customer service was beyond fantastic. Everyone we dealt with here was so kind, cheerful and helpful. They have a great games room that we loved that had a driving simulator, ping pong table and a pool table. The gym was fantastic and we had zero issues with anything. The equipment is up to date with many options and everything was kept extremely tidy. The breakfast, even though it was grab and go due to the holidays, was great with a lot of options. The only thing that could have been improved is if there was a pool! In the future when/if we come back to Bonnyville, we will definitely be staying here again! Thank you...

Unfortunately, I am unable to review this chain as a whole, so it will affect this particular location. I as booked to stay here and never did end up staying because of a host of issues. So, the review is not about the hotel itself, but the incredibly poor organization and administration. I ended up getting charged almost $300 between my pre registration at the hotel and the preauthorized payment taken; however, the hotel said they had no record of payment from me and wanted yet another payment. I refused to pay more and was told to call Best Westerns main customer service line instead. I left the hotel, drove 3.5hrs home and tried calling Best Western. After waiting on hold for 35+ minutes I left a message. I still have no received a call back and I’m out almost $300 for a stay that I never even had!
