Chicken Chef - Lac Du Bonnet — Restaurant in Town of Lac du Bonnet

Arrived with a bigger group. We also had little kids with us. The server put us into the lounge area as they didn't want to move tables together. The restaurant was empty. There was a man in the lounge area and little kids shouldn't have been around him. There was loud music playing. Server took our order. We received our drinks and that was about it. We arrived shortly before 6pm. The restaurant closed at 8. At 7:45 the server came and told us our food will be ready any minute now, we can go to the front and pay but we can't eat inside. Also said we would be getting a discount for the inconvenience. We came to the front to pay didn't get any discounts and had to wait toll 8:30 to actually receive the food. This is my first time posting a review on a restaurant ever. Usually I just forget about it but I wanted to save others from wasting their time and money. I ordered their specialty burger called the spicy clucker as part of the burger trail week. I was actually excited about trying it but when I opened my burger, there was hardly any chicken and it was mostly batter, the small amount of chicken that was in there was dried out like it was sitting all day. I took it back and got a refund and the lady told me well the chicken is supposed to be battered and I said yes but its 90% batter and no chicken. I also got a poutine which I kept cause I was hungry and thought how can they mess up a poutine. Well when I opened the container, there was only a handful of fries and watered down gravy. The amount of food for the money is not worth it. I will never order...

Went with my roommate and asked if dine in was allowed upon arrival, and was told yes. After being seated and signing a covid policy paper we could hear our server and other worker talking about us; “if anything happens it’s on them, it’s not our fault”,“well we can’t ID them they already signed the papers so the damage is already done and it’s on them”. Not once were we asked for ID or were we checked on after our meal’s were served while other tables were being checked on more than once. When paying the cook was taking our payment and told us “we can’t be to sure about roommates and young people you know and I know the server didn’t ask for ID which she should have” we offered to show our ID but said no.
