My family and I stopped for a sub around 1pm on Louis Riel Day (Feb 17). When I walked in it was immediately clear that the lone staff person was stressed out and not handling the lunch rush well. Things were thrown about behind the counter as the staff person was intentionally throwing things on the floor to express her irritation. She was also openly aggressive to the customers. Every request made by the 5 people in line ahead of me, regardless of how small the request was (for example, “What kind of cheese do you have?” or “Could I have a little more mayo on that”) received a growl and a hostile response. I watched in shock as she over filled a soup bowl, and then slammed the lid down on top. The force of the lid going on caused the soup to spray out in all directions, including the outsides of the bowl, the counter, and the floor. What surprised me was the lack of surprised displayed by this person. She evidently knew that the lid would cause a spill but didn’t care. She then handed the bowl to an Elderly woman like nothing had happened... When it was my turn to be served I received much the same treatment. What shocked me the most however, was that she didn’t bag my meal, offer me my receipt, or say anything to me... after setting the debut machine for my payment, she just walked away. I had to reach around the cookie display to retrieve my subs. But the cherry on top of this entire experience was when I unwrapped my sub a long dark hair was poking out of the spinach. Disgusting. Shame on the manager who did not schedule adequate staff. Although this persons behaviour was not well suited to the service industry, ultimately she was set up for failure due to a lack of additional staff. Read moreabsolutely horrible! this place has gone downhill! went in yesterday, guy working informed me they were completely out of bread as soon as I walled in (1 and a half hours before close). Came back today at 530, out of bread, only had white left. Ordered 12" roast chicken (different veggies on both halves), I was Overcharged for 2 6"s, 6" ham, and 3 of the ham and bacon cunnucks. To sum up my experience, we are practically drinking out 2 foot long cunnuk sandwiches! Bread is not even big enough to fit basic veggies And sauce is dripping everywhere. Girls working both seemed in bad moods, attitudes sucked. Didn't wash hands after working the till. I've held off going to this location because it blatantly sucks, and I will make sure not to revisit again until staff are better trained or replaced! I have been hearing in the community how great he is at making subs, and I have had the pleasure of him making my sub for the last 4 times out of the 5 that I have been there, and he is the best that has served me at ANY Subway I have gone to. My experience starts as soon as you walk in, he flashes you that pearly white smile, greeting you as you walk in. You never have to repeat yourself, and his sandwiches are well arranged with an even consistency from one end of the sub to the other, making the sub look like the pictures they advertise.
