Kays Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Lac du Bonnet

The service experienced here was awful. My boyfriend and I were headed to the East MB and, stopped by this community and wanted to have lunch at this restaurant we found on Google with good ratings. However, it turns out to be the worst service we have experience in any restaurant in Manitoba as a whole. Whenever we're in the province we try many different restaurants.

We enter Kays Kitchen and the server was there, saw us standing and didn't even acknowledge or greet us. No smile, no hi, nothing. We stood there for 5 minutes and didn't even receive any acknowledgement from her. It seems like she was surprised to see 'tourist' or 'people of colour' at her restaurant. We end up leaving and ate at another place...

We went to K's after a day of snowshoeing near Nopiming. We had been here before and each time the food and the staff are amazing.

Tonight we had, Butter Chicken Poutine, Somosa in Chana Masella, Mushroom Poutine and 2 Bacon Cheese Burgers. Each was awesome and reasonably priced.

Special Kudos to the Butter Chicken Poutine ... this was the most amazing fusion of Canadian (Poutine) and Indian (Butter Chicken) imaginable!!! It was outstanding, almost like these 2 dishes were always meant for each other!!😁

It was a wonderful meal, and everyone throughly enjoyed themselves. Highly recommended and well worth the 5...

Picked up dinner on the weekend. Got the Butter chicken, and Curry Chicken, and WOW it was amazing! It was the best Butter Chicken I have had in a VERY long time! Will definitely be ordering again from here! The Curry chicken was fantastic as well, and having some Naan to sop up the sauce... even better! This is just half the order of each on the plate. (I kinda nuked the sauce alittle too much... ) After all, it was a long drive back to Bird...
