Mr Fish — Restaurant in Town of Shelburne

Excellent restaurant that has fresh seafood dishes (fish and chips, fried clams, scallops, etc) as well as burgers and fries chicken. They also have appetizers (including a new coconut shrimp which sounded tasty!) and desserts such as cinnamon rolls, pie, and 'flakies' which are fruit and whipped cream sandwiched between pastry dough. I had a 'half and half' of fish and clams so my plate came packed with some fried clams (absolutely delectable) fries, coleslaw, and not just one piece but TWO huge pieces of fried haddock - so much food! Priced at 19.99 it's higher, but excellent value for the price and you certainly get alot of great food! O wish they'd had an option for just one piece of fish and clams as that would have been plenty!:)

My wife tried their new fish tacos - they were amazing!! Stuffed with pieces of lightly breaded fish, and apple slaw, topped with a slightly spicy chipotle sauce - my wife raved about them and I had a couple bites - definitely an excellent addition to the menu and must try!

We had a cinnamon bun and blueberry flakie for dessert - both were perfect cap to the meal - cinnamon bun was served warm to boot! Both are highly recommended. Our servers were both exceptionally friendly and expedient - and you could tell it was a favorite of locals as there was a birthday party lunch as well as a man and two women and our server had some hilarious banter with the man! :P

While on holiday with my gentleman friend to visit his momma Barb in Nova Scotia, we both live in Ontario, she took us to dinner at her favorite restaurant, Mr. Fish Shelburne NS. Barb and her friend Burnley are regular customers, they were greeted by name, sat at their favorite table, and she was happy to introduce Kenny as her son, and me as his lady friend. Of course I didn't really need a menu, I'm from PEI but haven't been home in years. I wanted FISH! I did read over the extensive list of very affordable options, everything from FISH to Burgers, and awesome deserts too, I had the chocolate pie 🥧. I haven't had it since my momma passed years ago. All I felt was "HOME" in this gem 💎 of a restaurant. Sandra and Jim are the incredible hosts/owners and they both came to welcome us. They sat a bit to chat, it was as if we were family. This place is a perfect place for date night, gathering with friends, or dinner with your family and children. The food is what I considered perfection! Last Friday I had Fish and chips with coleslaw and a side of gravy. Last night I ordered the FISH bits and fries with the coleslaw and gravy, followed by the chocolate pie. Nice little restaurant with an honest menu. Very friendly staff, Restaurant filled with neat details. Top notch tidy! The seafood chowder was prepared just in the morning with fresh catch. And it was a tasty, rich plate with a lot quality fish. Note, they sell DIY seafood chowder sets. Excellent fries. We had battered fish filets (help, they were large) and seafood platter (whatever the sea delivers) and it was a great experience. Fun goof: We ordered (six piece?) chicken with fries for my little daugther and expected something like chicken fingers. Turned out it was large pieces of chicken and the hole room was laughing when this big man serving appeared in front of a little girl.
