Tin Cup by Little Greek — Restaurant in Town of St. Paul

There are not too many options in St Paul AB. The Tin Cup is OK on the best days. I find the food is a little hit and miss. I live in the area and so I've been here a few times. I've tried 5 or 6 dishes on the menu. Prices are higher than I would expect for the quality. They cannot cook a rare steak to save their lives. It's always medium at best. There is more bread than soup in the "onion" soup and I had some onion skins in there which made it gross to eat. The Tzatziki is decent but you will only get a tiny dish of it. While they will refill without charging, it's really annoying to have to keep asking for more. Portions seem to be getting smaller. As far as the service goes, that also varies widely. Some are excellent, while others are not going to come back to check on you and will get your order wrong. I don't think I will be going back as I have been increasingly disappointed with my meals. Amazing food! My husband and I went Friday evening. We ordered the crab jalapeno bites, calamari to start, both amazing! I ordered the chicken &shrimp! Chicken was so mouthwatering and delicious! My husband had steak & shrimp and I tasted it as well so good! Also had the Banana Xango for desert! We drank a bottle of wine, which was fair priced for a restaurant. Good service. The food was a bit "fast foodish" in my view as my Cuban sandwich was grilled with a bit too much butter (or whatever they used). There was plenty of salad heaped on the plate although I prefer their original approach in serving the salad in a bowl. Unfortunately most of the iceberg lettuce within the salad was rusty coloured and had to be picked out. A bit of finesse by paying attention to the details would increase the positive experience.
