Big River Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Stewiacke

A favourite spot to stop in. Coffee is fresh and delicious, if you haven’t try an iced muddy river latte you are missing out! My picky eater son absolutely loves the chocolate chip cookies and would eat them all! Got breakfast sandwiches for myself and partner and they were fabulous. Grilled onions were perfect, I now add them to my own at home.

Staff is A++. Always have a smile on their face and interact with my kids.

Perfect spot for the whole family as you cross the street and have Dennis park and when the weather is nicer the splash pad.

Fully accessible with a ramp and places to sit too!

The Big River Cafe is a welcome addition to the town of Stewiacke. It's a place where people of any age can stop and enjoy an ice cream cone. Coffee is available with a sweet treat of the day; today's treat was a choco chip cookie. Smiling Whale coffee beans can be purchased there (bring your own container), as well as local honey. There's a sunny deck with a few tables and chairs, as well as chairs on the lawn providing a comfortable place to enjoy your snack. First time here and first thing that struck me was how friendly and welcoming the two women working were.The cafe backs onto a beautiful little community garden that I walked through while waiting for our breakfast sandwiches. We had the classic breakfast sandwich and the tomato pesto sandwich - they were AMAZING. So fresh and full of flavor right down to the breads. Can’t wait...
