A Food Fair — Restaurant in Town of Westlock

First of all 5 stars to the waitress. Fast and friendly attentive service. The coffee was also great. Probably made by the wonderful waitress. The food however would be best described as inedible. There were 3 of us. We ordered poutine, a monte cristo sandwich, and a single Chicago hot dog (which is $8.99 by the way - remember this). The poutine came with cold fries and gravy. The whole plate looked like grey mud. The sandwich also came with fries and gravy. The gravy tasted off. The fries tasted like freezer burned frozen fries that you get in the large bargain store brand bags. The sandwich was ok, but definitely made with barest of ingredients. The hot dog was a joke. It was just a regular hot dog with ketchup, mustard, and relish with a half slice of processed Kraft cheese on it. It was worth $1.00 at best.. if the tiny wiener on it wasn't cold. I have eaten at A Food Fair many times since the restaurant reopened, and every time I am delighted by the food I am served. The staff in the restaurant is pleasant to be around with quick service and helpful problem solving skills. I have also found that the drive thru is very convenient when I am in a rush as wait times are not ridiculous for the quality of food received. The restaurant is clean and has the connected bar for people interested, as well as the pick-up and delivery services available especially during Covid-19 have made it easier for me to stay socially distanced from others, while working with government guidelines and still getting the great, same...

They messed up my take away order the last 2 times. The beef was like boot leather (I ordered medium rare). Then they first had me pay the wrong bill then charged me a full extra meal for a side add-on... I had no heart to go back to sort it out since the few staff working there were clearly stressed/overwhelmed, plus I had already driven away.
