We visited Captain’s Pub last night for the first time.. what a great spot to listen to live music, have some pub grub and a cold drink! The server our waiter Brad was great! Very friendly and professional! I’d definitely recommend trying their spinach dip.. one of the best I’ve ever had! They have live music 6 nights a week, Mike was very entertaining and we loved his song choice! They recommended making reservations, I’m glad we did make reservations because it was a full house! Definitely drop by this place when visiting twillingate!

We went to the pub to listen to Mike Sixonate tonight. What a great show. Exactly what I was looking for in a Newfoundland pub. We shared a Popeye pizza, which was excellent. Thin crust and tons of flavour. And if you're looking to get Screeched In, Mike did that during intermission. We had done it in St John's, so didn't partake, but Captains Pub was just as good.

This was my wife and I’s first visit to twillingate and wont be our last! The Captains pub came as a recommendation from a local at a local store. We had Pizza and Wings which were delicious! Service was great their musician Mike Sixonate was awesome! From all our nights in Newfoundland this was our favourite! Thank you to all the staff!

We dined here on the Tuesday after Canada Day, and I must say the food was definitely not worth the price. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff were friendly, but the quality of the food fell short of our expectations. For the price we paid, we were hoping for a more flavorful and memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, the wings were bland (and very small) and the salad lacked the fresh ingredients and vibrant tastes we anticipated. We left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. I hope the restaurant can improve its menu to better match the high prices they charge. It sounds like the entertainment is the main draw and why it has such...

Sadly, we felt accommodation severely overpriced...comfy bed with nice linen but only 3* for other amenities for big $$$! Noisy, could hear other guests two rooms away who disturbed us late into the night (0130 -0200 am!). Housekeeping didn't knock, entered at 0800 well before designated check-out...guest in shower. No water glasses, tea/coffee facilities very poor/ not available. Bar food terrible especially for price.... calamari was baby octopus burnt to oblivion, nachos so overdone had to 'eat'(!) the paper the cheese had melted into. Disappointed that cannot recommend although a visit to...

Captain’s Pub in Twillingate is the kind of place that wears its heart on its sleeve—unpretentious, lively, and full of local flavor in every sense. Tucked inside the Anchor Inn Hotel, it’s where you go not just for a bite, but for a night. The seafood-based menu hits all the right notes—think fresh fish and chips, hearty chowders, and pub classics done right—while the live music brings the room to life, especially during the summer months when local talent fills the air with stories and songs. The vibe is pure Newfoundland: warm, welcoming, and just a little bit rowdy in...
