Wendy's — Restaurant in Waterloo

I’m not one to write reviews as I feel like my experience somewhere shouldn’t take away from someone else’s, but I definitely will not be quiet about the experience that I just had with the manager at this location. I went through the drive through, ordered two combos from the menu, and when I went to pay for my order, after giving the person at the window a $50 bill, I was given back $4. $4. I got 2 combos. I then proceeded to check my receipts, only to find out that I was charged double for everything . After the manager realized his mistake, he proceeded to give me 2 extra receipts, with no explanation. Just through them in my face. He gave me the extra money that he owed me , and basically gave me $30 in toonies :/ so I then proceeded to ask him if I could get cash, as I don’t like to carry cash, and definitely not that much. I gave him back the change, and realized that $15 was missing. He then started to harass me, tell me that I’m looking for a money grab, and etc.. You get what you put out. I felt extremely disrespected, and felt like my time was wasted because of the mistake on their end, and the harassment that I received was absolutely disgusting. I asked the manager for his name , and he refused to give it to me. I feel extremely discriminated against, disrespected, and have read other reviews about the staff. I would like to speak to someone in HR to discuss what happened. This should not happen to anyone else, and definitely...

As a Celiac, finding a safe place to eat where gluten is handled alongside regular foods is nearly impossible, but the team at Wendy’s in Waterloo by Conestoga Mall is absolutely amazing!

Although my husband is usually the one picking up our food, I can always trust that my meal will be handled with the utmost care. At home, I toast my own gluten-free bun, but at Wendy’s, they take my allergy seriously. The staff ensures my order is prepared safely, notifying everyone in the kitchen and often assigning one person to handle my food. Their attention to detail and precautionary measures give me peace of mind every time.

My go-to favorites are the bunless burger, chili, nachos with cheese, and the baked potato—and sometimes all of the above! Not only is the food delicious, but the staff are also friendly, welcoming, and never make you feel like a burden for needing extra care.

This location has truly set the bar for accommodating Celiacs, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to others in the gluten-free community. Wendy’s by Conestoga Mall is a rare gem, and they’ve earned my trust and loyalty!

Went to this Wendy’s today around 140pm and ordered a baconador combo (mind you I told the girl three times that was my order) my boyfriend went to open the burger and noticed it was a son of baconador so he went to the front thinking they miss placed the order and the lady (looked like a manager tall dark short hair half up in a pony tall was working drive thru and helping counter) told my boyfriend that, that was what he order and paid for ? He told the lady he said baconador and in the rudest tone she said “well if you didn’t say double baconador you get a son of baconador”...I’m sorry but Since when do you have to say that when that’s not what’s on the menu ? There’s only two baconadors do you not know what you sell? I’m sorry but if I was a manager and someone came up stating that’s not what they ordered and you’re saying “well that’s what you paid for” how is that helping anyone it’s not our fault that your counter lady was not listening and on top of that the lady that took our order didn’t just type in the wrong burger she forgot two of our drink.
