Thailandia — Restaurant in Welland

Both my girlfriend and I went here just recently and had a great experience, server was friendly. The aesthetic Nice and cozy somewhat dimly lit with lots of interesting art. Only complaint was there was quite a bit of noticeable cobwebs up in the corners of the ceiling and around heaters. We were skeptical to try this place as they had recently been marked by the Niagara health for possible rodent infestation which was then marked as cleared later on. As with all buildings around well and there was many outdoor rat traps and having to walk through the back alley from the back parking lot we didn't see any rodents or garbage scattered about which was a good sign I guess. The food was absolutely delicious portions were reasonable for the price. I got the mango curry chicken which was absolutely delicious and the mango was very prominent unlike some other Thai places. It had what looked like roasted Indian eggplant in it and added a nice contrast to the sweet mango. I very much enjoy spicy foods and I have to say this was very mild. My girlfriend got peanut curry chicken and she enjoyed that a lot too spice was a little bit more prominent in this dish but I wouldn't call it hot by any means. Water came in a nice flip top bottle which was a nice touch and allowed water whenever we ran out. A Fresh and Friendly Taste of Thailand at Thailandia (Welland)! Our recent family lunch at Thailandia in Welland was a truly delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly courteous and friendly, making us feel immediately welcome. We were particularly impressed by the freshness of the food served. Each dish tasted vibrant and flavorful, a testament to the quality of the ingredients used. The service was also remarkably quick, allowing us to enjoy our meal without any unnecessary wait. What truly stood out was the staff's willingness to explain the ingredients in the dishes. This thoughtful gesture was incredibly helpful and showed their passion for the food they serve. Furthermore, they were very accommodating to our requests for ingredient substitutions, which is always a huge plus for families with varying preferences. My husband and I went for dinner last night with our infant son. The food was incredible, my husband hadn't really tried thai food before so we ordered quite a bit. We got their app sampler for 2 and the chicken satays and mango salad were our favorites on that. We also ordered wonton soup, fresh spring rolls, Royal Pad Thai, Pineapple fried rice and Thai iced coffees.

It was a rainy Friday night and in the time of us being there, they probably had 12 takeout orders picked up and 5 tables of people. With them being so busy, the kitchen seemed a little backed up however it was reassuring that everything was made fresh - and the food was delicious. Our server was attentive and hands on in helping with our son. We ended up having 1/2 our food packed up to go home since they were so busy and we were now starting to push our sons bedtime.

The only comment/feedback I'd give is that the pineapple fried rice seemed to be missing chicken - but it was still very tasty.
