Express Donuts — Restaurant in Welland

edit OK so this is a year gone by and i have to say there are some positive changes. The bathrooms are now locked. While asking to be let in is not so nice, the bathroom has never looked cleaner as the lack of junkie vomit and balance addled pee puddles are a.nice touch. While having to ask for a napkin is not so nice at least they have some since they are not being stolen by a junkie or crackhead. The coffe is still great. The demeaner of the staff seems to be getting better and the relief girl is a real diamond in the rough. Kathy is her name and her smile brightens even the dingiest wallpaper or outdated menu pictures. I actually saw a guy sleeping there get kicked out by the police!! Yes sir, great days are on the horizon for the closest coffee shop near me. So another year and they earn a star more than last year. Well done William, and keep shooting for the stars!! As for the rest of you remember to keep getting your coffee cards stamped and tip Kathy!

Great coffee....

So..I haven't been to this place since it opened in the early 80s. It was a busy place back then...always a line up. Over the years it has changed hands and become a hang out for junkies. So my wife & I tried it to see how it actually is. We both had breakfast. My coffee was good and cheap, same for my wife's hot chocolate, very rich which was nice. The breakfast was inexpensive at $6. Was served on Styrofoam plates and plastic utensils...not a big deal..I get why based on some clientel. I probably wouldn't order the breakfast again..it was ok at best. However...the donuts were superb and the baked goods in the display looked great...and for a very reasonable price. Many of the folks inside were very friendly and just the people you would expect at a donut shop. I hope the owners continue to upgrade and improve this establishment, I'll definitely be back for...

Frankly an incredible place to come and get food from. They serve cafe style food along with a variety of different baked goodies and other quick eats (I recommend the poutine). The owners of the restaurant have shown great resilience and kindness when serving and attending customers such as myself. The food is amazing and I would 100% come back here to eat here again for the great service and the food. It does not deserve the low reviews that people here are giving. It definitely is a place to come try out when you...
