**updated post since I went by yesterday & they said there are new hours for the fall. So they will do takeout but only will have dining in on Saturdays & Sundays with a reservation in September at the restaurant. Certainly miss having a restaurant open 7 days a week out here but hopefully next year they will open 7 days a week again in the summer. Loved the beef/lamb gyro & fish tacos I had in August. Boss said they are new items on the menu for this year. Gyro came with onion rings and was $16. They didn't have a big liquor menu, no shooters, no mixed cocktails like martinis or margaritas but there's beer, Ceasars and highballs. Limited amount of tables but spaced out comfortably. And with this CoVId pandemic thing, last weekend I couldn't get a table without a reservation. Definitely would go again. The small alcoholic drinks selection but otherwise great meal, large portion, fresh and hot. My friend ordered poutine and the gravy is amazing. Staff were friendly and chatty. I was surprised that dining room closes at 7 so last call for drinks & food was at 6:40pm but staff explained that especially with this CoVid that it was even harder to find staff so they didn't have enough staff to open longer hours. hahaha...I guess I'm just spoiled from living in the big cities with food available 24 hours. Definitely appreciate having a place open to eat out here in the middle of...

I’d already been driving on empty for a while and missed the memo that there was no gas station nearby. So, I pulled into La Casa to ask for directions, already feeling exhausted and flustered.
The girl at the counter was lovely- and told me there was nothing nearby….. then she led me to another person to offer a bit more insight, at which point I genuinely burst into tears (for context, I’m a crisis counsellor who works overnights, and not only was I out of gas and lost, I hadn’t slept yet after a stressful shift).
Not only did Mark (? Oh man, I hope his name was Mark, I might be misremembering) come outside and check my gas gauge for me, he was kind and calm and gave me directions while assuring me it was ok and I had this.
The kindness and empathy shown by the staff here, during what was definitely one of my least shining moments is unmatched. I do not have enough words to express how much this interaction meant to me. And, the directions worked perfectly and I made it to my destination (which, I fully believe would not have happened without their help).

We ate here several times while we were staying at The La Casa Mansion. All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I got the London Fog with the Egg & Cheese several times. I asked to substitute the Egg for a hash brown and they accommodated easily. Everyone we spoke with was having a great time, this was a great place to relax and...
