Woodshed Burgers — Restaurant in West Jasper Place

Took my wife here for Mother’s Day late lunch (lupper?). Only one other group was in the restaurant and the server behind the bar said to seat ourselves. All the tables were still dirty so we took the cleanest we could find. As soon as we sat down another staff member came up and, with a tone, said she needed to clean it first. We apologized (thinking we had done something wrong given how abrupt she was) but she didn’t acknowledge it and wiped aggressively. She handed us menus and rattled off the specials so quickly and with so little enthusiasm I had no idea what she had said. Sat with our menus for quite some time and, since there was only one other table sat, we figured because she hadn’t come back we were supposed to order at the counter. I started walking toward the counter and another staff member who was chatting with another server and, again with a tone, said they come to us. So I sat back down and had to wait another 5 minutes for her to wander over after presumably finishing her conversation. Didn’t ask if we wanted a drink and couldn’t recall what taps were empty. Dropped off the bill at the end and just left the debit terminal at our table. Didn’t come back to say thank-you or even offer a receipt.

Amazing, me and my sister went and at first we weren’t sure if it was a restaurant or bar or even if minors were allowed but I asked as my sister was a minor. They said minors were allowed, so we sat done and were instantly greeted by our waitress and showed with such kind service. Our server recommendation was amazing and delicious. We got the Junior chicken Nashville burger and just out of this world amazing. The chef and kitchen staff absolutely killed it, although they were extremely backed up and experiencing difficulties with food orders not being rung up properly. When our food arrived, we instantly took a bite as we were surprised at how big the burger was for it being kids size. The portions were amazing and the burger was heavenly. Out of this world. Would definitely recommend this place again and the staff there are so kind. Came in to place a to go order for the family. Hanna was working the front and took my order. She greeted us with a warm smile and a very friendly personality, very welcoming and friendly. She informed me and my son it would be a 20 - 25 minute wait so we sat at the bar to kill the time. Aaron and Cody were very busy but also very attentive to us. They were both the picture of personable and professionalism. Also, if you ask Aaron to make you a surprise cocktail you are in very good hands. He is an amazing bartender. When our food was ready Hanna came to the bar and informed us she had taken the initiative to have our food placed under a warmer. Just one of those extra miles that the entire Woodshed/Hayloft staff seems to take at every opportunity.
