A&W Canada — Restaurant in West Lincoln Township

I was in a hurry, so I placed a mobile order. I ran in, approached the counter to inform them I was there for a mobile order pickup. They said they didn't have any mobile orders placed. I ran back to my truck to get my phone, brought it to the lady at the counter ON THE SCREEN that says "order confirmed, come to the restaurant right away!" (along with all the details about the store address etc). The counter lady took the phone to swipe to different screens within the app and then says "you did not place a mobile order"... I very clearly just showed the screen where I did, then flipped to another screen where it showed my credit card transaction (showing the price and A&W restaurant number that had just been processed). As politely as possible I said "I'm not sure what else I could show you, I was charged for it". Then, once again I was told I didn't place a mobile order. Good thing on her end, she asked if I had email confirmation, so I opened that, to show the exact same thing as the first screen in the app. Without saying anything to me, she turned around to ask the kitchen for my burger. Once it was ready, she brought it to the counter saying "mobile order". No apology, no nothing. I know it isn't her fault. Technology issues for sure. But the way it was handled was less than perfect and didn't make me feel welcome or like they wanted my business. The burger was DELICIOUS...

Good food. Friendly staff. Edit - March 4, 2024. Picked up Mama burger combo & chedder bacon uncle burger combo from drive through. Burgers & fries must have been under a heat lamp because they did not taste the usual fresh and all food was just luke warm. This was very unusual as all take out food over the last 3 years was perfect! Edit: Apl 26, 2024 - Went to drive through and again purchased Cheddar bacon Uncle burger combo & Mama burger combo. I had the correct coupon for the Uncle but brought the wrong one by mistake for the Mama combo. Girl at the counter accepted the Uncle coupon but made me pay full price for the Mama combo. I said I had been there several times when they didn't even take my coupons at the pickup window. This time, she just smiled and said, "full price." Uncle burger paddy was half off the bun and soggy when I removed it from the bag. Needless to say, we don't go to this A&W as often...

Only reason I’m writing a review is because I work minutes away and this is the only fast-food drive-thru for me to get a coffee, snack or lunch, so I’m hoping something will change. Every time I go, there’s MAYBE one car in the drive-thru, an empty parking lot, and I’m still waiting an absurd amount of time for either food OR an iced coffee. After pulling forward and waiting up to 10 minutes, I’ve been given cold food and no apology. Half the staff are so unkind and don’t put any effort into giving a smile, asking how I am, being friendly whatsoever. I’ve gotten the wrong order over 5 times. Missing items. Condiments I asked NOT to have on burger, on it. I’ve seen so many different staff here and don’t enjoy any of them except one. There is a lovely man from India who is a manager, I think, and he’s the only one I ever enjoy seeing. Very nice man and goes above and beyond. Everyone else needs retraining on...
