LAKI'S Family Restaurant — Restaurant in West Lincoln Township

Ordered for the first time today. Spent $72.15. Ordered Pork souvlaki $17.50 on the online menu. Ordered chicken souvlaki $18.50 and calamari for $11.50. Not sure how that adds up to $72.15. They asked if I wanted to leave a tip on my pick up order. Thank god I said no. This was the worst Greek food I've ever had! The calamari was inedible and was tossed. I asked if they could throw a menu in as I wanted to check the pricing and was told they don't have any. Food was horrible! A complete waste of my time and money. Never, ever again!! I've had so much better elsewhere!

Update: Called the restaurant and asked for an explanation on pricing, as my bill should have been only $53.60. I was told that their prices went up. Calamari +5, each entree +2...for a total of $9. That still doesn't add up! I asked why their online menu didn't reflect that. The response I got was so incredibly rude and condescending! She said in so many words that it did. I replied that both menus I saw online had the prices I thought I was paying. I was ripped off plain and simple! I believe in karma, and this restaurant will eventually get theirs for ripping people off and not giving a damn! I'm so mad! I don't mind paying good money for good food and good service, but what I got, was nothing short of garbage...on all fronts! Like I said before, never,...

Talk about OVER AND ABOVE!!! I can’t say enough about this establishment! The team that Tina has is by FAR the best team in the industry I have EVER seen!!! Went for the first time last week. Tina and my youngest had an exchange regarding jello. They don’t carry jello but Tina asked “what’s your favourite colour”? My son replied “green”. Tina then said, “the next time you come in I will have green jello for you” Now, it’s one thing to say it, but they don’t just “say” We went in a week later(this evening)and it was the same team and they recognized us. I hear the one really awesome girl say to Tina under her breath “oh no, we don’t have green jello” the fact they remembers is enough! But what did Tina do, she sent one of her staff out to the local store to GET GREEN JELLO!!! Are you serious!!?? Who else DOES THAT THESE DAYS!!! This place deserves 10 STARS! Sadly, we have been in Smithville for some time now and have only stumbled upon this diamond in the rough. BUT, you have customers for LIFE NOW! Go and see Tina and her REMARKABLE team! It’s not a meal, it’s truly an experience as they make you feel like family!

I can see why people like this place but our experience was disappointing. The coffee was great and the waitress very friendly. The “homemade” food however was another issue.

The vegetables were cold and very cold (frozen) on the inside. I also do like like vegetables over cooked but they do need to be warm.

The food has a lot of garlic and chives, covering up the flavour of the mashed potatoes and meat. Of course if you like garlic and chives this would not be an issue.

The French onion soup indeed had onions, including some of the tougher outer layers. What it didn’t have was cheese. There were only a couple of small pieces of cheese and a few croutons.

It is a fairly large restaurant and nicely decorated. There were only a few people there and it was fairly quite, except for the owner talking with a customer VERY LOUDLY across the room. I understand social distancing but even though they were on the other side of the restaurant it was difficult for us to converse. It showed a lack of respect for all their customers.

There are obviously people who like the food and the friendliness and I wouldn’t say not to try it but it certainly is not to...
